Tortoreto's historic ice cream shop offers delicious gelato and magnificent granita. Prices are a bit high, but in line with other local establishments. A small gelato is €3, a granita is €4.50.

Excellent value for money. The granitas are truly exceptional. I've been several times and tried various flavors. Definitely worth a try.

The ice cream is good, but the cone is old

You can't visit Tortoreto without trying the Sicilian granitas from this historic gelateria because they're fantastic. We've come every day for a snack or after dinner to try all the flavors! Some change daily, but in our opinion, the red mulberry, blueberry, and almond granitas are the best. A small bonus: adding whipped cream doesn't change the price; I mention this because it's not a given, considering you'd pay for it elsewhere.

Excellent quality, friendly staff, even when it was crowded, short wait time, reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Truly excellent gelato. You can sit down even at peak times thanks to the large number of tables, both self-service and table service. The only downside is the disposable plastic cups, which, in my opinion, could be replaced with cardboard ones, which have a lesser environmental impact.

This gelato is truly from another planet, with the pistachios being something extra-sensory. Perhaps not the most appealing, but it's a product that deserves an A+.

Pay in advance? Bringing the bill and demanding payment before you eat is very impolite and impolite. If you're worried someone might run away without paying, that's your problem. The ice cream is good, but a bigger smile wouldn't hurt.
