You can't visit Tortoreto without trying the Sicilian granitas from this historic gelateria because they're fantastic. We've come every day for a snack or after dinner to try all the flavors! Some change daily, but in our opinion, the red mulberry, blueberry, and almond granitas are the best. A small bonus: adding whipped cream doesn't change the price; I mention this because it's not a given, considering you'd pay for it elsewhere.

Truly excellent gelato. You can sit down even at peak times thanks to the large number of tables, both self-service and table service. The only downside is the disposable plastic cups, which, in my opinion, could be replaced with cardboard ones, which have a lesser environmental impact.

11/12/2025: On our way back from a snowshoe hike, we stopped for lunch at this lovely winery. We had a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, polenta, and a soup that I found delicious. I can't understand the negative comments people have made. The staff was lovely and very kind, and despite the place being packed, they handled everything professionally without any significant delays. In 2025, nothing surprises us anymore; rude and spoiled people are simply unbearable. Thank you so much, guys, see you next time.
