Taking advantage of the beautiful day and after having lunch in Trappeto, we decided to finish lunch with a dessert. While wandering around the local bars we came across this place. Bar stocked with excellent desserts, we enjoyed a (giant) cannoli prepared on the spot, really tasty and excellently made, even the zest was exceptional. Courteous staff. We will gladly return

Da anni ormai è consuetudine il sabato mattina fare colazione al bar Erice. Faccio volentieri alcuni km per raggiungerlo e gustare le graffe che mi fa trovare anche calde, imbottite con ricotta o con crema gialla. Ho provato anche altre specialità, arancine, dolci, tavola calda, e mai sono rimasto deluso. Da consigliare assolutamente

The best Cannoli I had in Sicilia, and believe me, I tried many places. It's true that I ended up in Napola because the famously advertised Euro Bar in Dattilo was closed. Napola is the next village, 2.5 km further.
I ordered 2 big Cannoli (without knowing the size) and three other pastries made with ricotta, all wrapped up, 10 euro, at first I thought, man, this is expensive. I even told the cashier, it's 'costoso' :))
But after I arrived at the beach and opened up the package, I saw the biggest, most ricotta filled classic sicilian Cannoli ever.
Delicious, it's worth the detour. Tried also some pistacchio gelato, very very good.
I guess the fact that they are in an animal growing region helps, they source their cream and ricotta locally.
