Excellent bar to stop and have a drink while visiting Venice. We were looking for a bar to grab a bite to eat mid-morning and found this little bar. Cheaper than many in Venice. Super friendly waiters. Without a doubt it was a success to make a stop.

Many years ago, on my first visit to Venice, I asked the hotel concierge where he goes for coffee, not where he sends the tourists. He told me to go around the corner to Bar Ducale, adding that it’s also where the gondoliers go for their coffee. And I’ve been coming here ever since, particularly for the soft, white crustless tramezzini sandwiches.

Local jaunt for the gondoliers. Have a cappuccino and a croissant at the bar to feel like a local. The ham panini is great, ask for the red mayo sauce to go with it. Super affordable too!

Very pleasant staff! I have had breakfast there several days in a row and we are always greeted with a smile. The brioches and coffee are excellent. I also recommend the crema caffé, very pleasant on hot days.

Small in space, on two levels, typical furnishings that recall the interiors of a "hideout" of buccaneers whose name it is no coincidence that they don't steal the name. The offer of beers on the menu is really good, both on tap and in bottles, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers for various hours accompany a drink with friends accompanied by rock music that is never intrusive due to the volumes played.
