arriving in Gerace, we ask two gentlemen for a place where we can eat homemade ice cream, and we are immediately recommended the "sweet and savory bar" where they say it is the best ice cream in Gerace, we arrive at the bar and the very nice owner lets us taste it salted pistachio and saffron, FABULOUS ice cream, I think it is one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted, very honest price for two cones 5 euros, for the very high quality of the ice cream it is truly a very honest price, I highly recommend this place.

Bar molto carino al centro di gerace che dispone di tavoli all’esterno e qualche tavolino anche all’interno. Si tratta di un’attività gestita a livello familiare. Il personale è estremamente gentile e disponibile, si percepisce l’amore con cui viene svolta la professione. Noi abbiamo provato la torta Chianciano, deliziosa. Esperienza super consigliata.

I went to Gerace a few days ago, a splendid village with a lot of history behind it, we stopped by this bar to refresh ourselves after the long walk in the village, starting from the very welcoming and easy-going owner, who let us taste different types of ice cream, one of the best here in my opinion “Chianciano cake”, after this tasting of ice cream we made a double order starting from a brioche ice cream (very abundant) ending with the granita with very strong flavours, very helpful staff, in short I highly recommend it for those who don't know it

At Bar Dolce e Salato you will find friendliness, efficiency, excellent ice creams, excellent granitas, excellent pizzas, I would like to say excellent arancini but I have never tasted them! Gelato, granita, and panini were all delicious! Daniele was very friendly and described the process of making our favorite gelato - Torta Chianciano. Two lactose-free gelato flavors and plenty of granita options (I suggest the pistachio and almond). Gelato, granita, e panini sono fantastici. Daniele era molto simpatico e ci ha spiegato come fanno uno dei nostri nuovi gusti preferiti - Torta Chianciano. Offrono due gusti di gelato senza lattosio e la granita e molto saporito. Vi consiglio la mandorla e il pistachio.
