Very tasty pastries, both sweet and savory. The coffee was excellent and the service was very friendly. A very nice gentleman who speaks English helped us with the order. Mostly locals eat here. It’s an authentic pasticceria with its own unique atmosphere and charm. Highly recommended.

Cappuccino and cornetto for breakfast, arancina or pasta al forno for lunch, and later a drink and a pizzetta: you're in good hands here at any time of day. Everyone is friendly, all the food and drinks are appetizing and high-quality. And the prices are really fair.

For lovers of traditional Sicilian sweet and savory rotisserie, Bar Castello is the best place to find it in the Zisa neighborhood. As for the savory rotisserie, however, there are few vegetarian options. The quality of the products is good. We recommend the fried calzone, which, with or without tomato and breadcrumbs, is one of the best in Palermo. Located opposite the main facade of the Zisa Castle, Bar Castello has both a small indoor dining room with tables and an outdoor gazebo. The pastries and gelato cakes are also excellent. Aperitifs and quick lunches are also available every day. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Clean restrooms. PS: The first baked goods are delivered around 4:00 am.

The food is good, shame about the very antisocial and apathetic staff

Mr. Carmelo's cappuccino or macchiato...a delight. And everything is beautiful to look at and eat.
