A smart choice for a proper meal while passing through Brenner. This place offers great quality without breaking your bank account. The food is really good.. service is solid and the whole spot feels a notch above your usual roadside stop. It’s also pretty popular so maybe better book ahead if you wanna eat in peace. Takeaway? They do that too.

We asked our three boys: "Did Max meet your expectations for pizza in South Tyrol?" The answer was unanimous: "It was even better than expected." Here, you'll be greeted warmly and friendly in the best South Tyrolean dialect, your dog will immediately be given water, and if you're undecided about the wide selection of pizzas, you'll immediately receive good advice. When the giant pizza wheels arrive, the first thing you'll notice is the aroma. With the first slice, you'll delight in the texture of the excellent dough with its crispy crust. From the first to the last bite, the excellent ingredients are convincing. Whether chanterelles or cheese, arugula or beef ham, burrata or pepperoni salami, here, pizza-making is a celebration. THANK YOU! We'll be happy to come back. And when you come back, this time with two dogs and in the rain, you'll be warmly welcomed outside. Arrangements are made so that, even without a reservation, you can get a quiet table for five people and two four-legged friends after a short wait. The pizza selection is no less overwhelming than on your first visit...and this time, too, it impresses with its aroma, taste, consistency, and size. And the price is also impressive, because if you can't manage to spend €120 with five people and then buy pizza and sweets for the next day, then you're obviously eating well. The best thing about Max, however, is that the experience of simply eating here makes you HAPPY. Here, excellent food is prepared for guests with joy, body, and soul, and the chef acts quickly and with foresight to ensure harmony in his restaurant. THANK YOU!

The pizzas were great and the prices were absolutely reasonable. Very friendly service—we'll definitely stop by again on our next trip over the Brenner Pass 👍🏻
