20/06/2024: Modern hotel in the Udine area of Milan (but with some signs of aging) very convenient due to its proximity to the Lambrate station and a few stops from the Central one (on the green metro line without having to change to other lines). I was given a room on the first floor, number 102 (booked classic double room for single use) which was already free upon my arrival before 11am (which was very welcome because in some hotels, even if it's ready, they don't give it to you before) despite the check in it was from 2pm.
I have never found such a large safe in a hotel (the tablet fit in it but a much larger laptop would also have been inside) and it is also the first time, despite the almost dozen often different hotels that I visit per year, that I have found it bathrobe, but in general the various towels were really of excellent quality (rare to find such). The television was a TLC I think about 32 inches (therefore Chinese sub-brand) but smart (with Netflix included) which in any case worked better than expected and which fortunately read USB sticks and, what is rare, also received the local TV channels in the area. Among the courtesy set which included pre-filled dispensers (very convenient) there was also a mini bottle for intimate hygiene (very rare to find). The fixtures were also modern and adjustable with a remote control. I had a problem on the last evening at 11pm with the bathroom door no longer opening (luckily I was out of the bathroom) in a very short time an attendant arrived who solved the problem.
On the second day, once I returned to the room in the afternoon (which had been redone), the smell of the detergents was really strong (I'm not one to complain about these things or that they bother them but this one was really strong), but nothing serious but I had to keep the window open for a long time to make it go away.
Breakfast is served on the sixth floor (the terrace was closed on the first morning, but was open on Monday) so I must say that although the assortment is varied and that it was slightly different between the first and second day I was there (even with things never found before in other hotels such as small sushi corner, jar amarene fabbri and actimel danone) I wasn't crazy about it and could be improved. The Croissants were not bad but definitely frozen (on Sunday morning there were cream and empty ones while on Monday morning there were also chocolate and apricot ones) then on the sweet side there were also mini muffins and other sweets. I didn't taste the cakes (these also differed from one day to the next), there was the strudel and the pancakes (these were cold and inedible, who knows how long they had been there or anyway they weren't good) obviously there was the syrup Maple tree. Slightly banal assortment of teas from Twinings (not very broad) wider choice of infusions (of another brand perhaps Pompadur if I remember correctly). Having breakfast outside on the terrace was very relaxing, it's a shame that the walls are very high (obviously also for safety reasons but too high and therefore you can't enjoy the view from above).
In conclusion the hotel is passed with flying colors (I forgot the cleanliness was really excellent) probably the best of those I tried in Milan, if I were to return I will ask for a room on a higher floor not on the side of the main road, the one I was in was on a lateral side but being on the first floor it was not very quiet and also privacy for the view outside (which in any case can easily be solved by lowering the curtain). Friendly staff at reception, while the breakfast staff was a bit so-so.
23/03/2024: Good four star hotel very close to the Soul Movie Studios and only 100 meters from the Udine Metro 2 stop. A few details to review in the rooms and the breakfast assortment could be improved (orange jam and sausages for example are missing)
