Do you want a touristy restaurant with food that fills your belly, in a modern, unwelcoming setting, with owners who won't smile at you even if it's the last thing they have to do? Then stay away from this place. Here at Banchina 51, things are serious. You come here to eat, not just eat for the sake of it, but to eat well and savor every flavor on your plate. You come here to be pampered by the entire restaurant team. From the waiters to the two chefs. They all care about making you feel good, not just with the food, but also with their pleasant manners and smiles. This isn't a touristy restaurant like many others, but quite the opposite. This is the restaurant you're looking for, where you want to eat well and go home with memories of it, and then want to return. It's not a cold place with uncomfortable furnishings and seating, but very welcoming in every way. From the view, to the seating, and the delicious table settings. I'm very picky when it comes to restaurants and rarely give 5 stars, but Banchina 51 deserves it. The menu is truly thoughtful and diverse. The flavors are balanced and never heavy. The portions of each dish are more than generous. I went with my partner. An entree, two first courses, a second course, a dessert, a glass of wine, water, and a cover charge came to just over €90. Pricey?...perhaps a little (especially the cover charge, but you're right by the sea), but as I said, you come here to eat and be comfortable, not to fill your stomach like you do in a pizzeria or trattoria. The negative reviews?...what can I say? Evidently, whoever wrote them has been eating somewhere else and didn't notice.

Artistic dishes but that's about it, small portions and not much taste. The food came cold and the octopus was poorly made, hard and cold. I told the waiter to take the food away and in a moment they brought it back again and it was cold again! Water and two dishes one dessert and one coffee €90. For the price, very poor performance🙄

Thanks to a friend, I discovered this truly delicious restaurant. Exquisite dishes. Excellent fish. The sweet and savory pairing is fabulous. Worth a return visit.
