Bel ristorante in pieno centro a Palermo. Abbiamo preso 2 ottime pizze. Il servizio è stato rapido ed il personale gentilissimo.

One of the best restaurants in town. Just good taste and presentation, with reasonable price, no pretentious Michelin BS we tried elsewhere in Sicily that tried too much to impress but failed even in the most basic aspect of cuisine such as the amount of salt! Balata is just pure culinary cuisine, with excellent transparent display of competent chefs at work. (You can even talk to them and ask questions! They’re that friendly). The waiters are friendly and communicative. We just had to keep coming back here and open yet another bottle of their fantastic Sicilian Syrah wine. Can’t believe some clueless clients have them one star. You want huge portion? Go to a pizzeria.

The place is very central, the "Mission Impossible" car park, the place is well looked after and the food is good but not exceptional. The cost is average

Great restaurant. Despite not having a reservation, they managed to arrange a table for 6 people. The food was delicious, both from the regular menu and the daily specials. The ragù bianco was exquisite, as was the pasta alla Norma. The service was very helpful and unobtrusive. Great value. Highly recommend.

I've never eaten pasta with sardines and so I threw myself into it, oh god I would eat it every day... such a dish is a masterpiece. I was there at Christmas with my happy family, each of us took a different dish and we all made 100 not to mention the meatballs with swordfish, I've never had such good food in my life. Grateful I wish you a happy new year. PS: the service was excellent.

Ottimo Ristorante... Servizio rapido e impeccabile.... Gentilezza del personale... Piatti ottimi... dolci super il parfait alle mandorle con cioccolato golosissimo.... Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo... Ristorante consigliatissimo😊

Friendly and quick staff. Clean and welcoming place. Clean bathrooms. The.pasta dish was delicious and flavorful. A little expensive considering that a first course and a water cost 16 euros!!

26/04/2025: I've been going on holiday here to Balestrate for a long time now and the hermit crab is now a guarantee among my favorite culinary destinations. The quality of the products and the service are excellent. If you are in the area I recommend it.

18/06/2025: Excellent mussel soup, strong and decisive flavor, really excellent Spaghetti with clams, a bit bland, they were 2 separate flavors, I recommend sautéing the spaghetti together with the clams so that they take on a bit of flavor even if eaten without clams Overall we were very satisfied with the culinary experience offered by their menu and we recommend it The local white wine is also good
