Baita Ciclamino In Molveno

A great day-trip restaurant near Molveno; the walk there is an experience in itself. A lovely beer garden with a stunning view of the lake and the mountains. Highly recommended for a holiday in Molveno. Delicious snacks.

To get there, you stroll through the woods, lined with wild cyclamen plants. The stream that flows down to Lake Molveno occasionally forms small waterfalls; you can hear them by the sound, but you have to search for them among the trees. Once you arrive, you'll have a stunning view: mountains on one side, the streambed in front, and the blue lake in the distance. Then, you can recharge with a nice sandwich and, if you want or can, explore other trails uphill.

It's wonderful to arrive here quickly from the center of Molveno. The water flows clear and you can enjoy an excellent, carefully presented platter. The owner is very friendly.

A beautiful small refuge with a bar and a little restaurant, about 30+ minutes from the town (depending on your pace). There are plenty of spots to sit, both inside and out. Indoors it’s very cozy with a fireplace, friendly service, and quite a broad menu – plus some souvenirs. The view over the cascading stream and surrounding mountains is stunning. From here it’s just a 5-minute walk uphill to a lovely bridge, where you can watch the strongest waterfall on this stretch of the stream. Beyond that point the trail continues upward, and there’s even a sign warning about bears. The climb also gets steeper from there, leading toward the higher mountain refuge, about 1.5 hours away. For those who don’t want to go further, this little refuge already offers plenty of satisfaction – great views, atmosphere, and comfort without the tougher hike.

A must for anyone who is in Molveno

Very quaint place. It's a shame we waited an hour and 20 minutes for a platter that was otherwise very good. Normal price.
