Excellent products, very friendly staff

I recommend it for a quick break. The place is often very chaotic and there isn't always seating available, but I recommend it.

Every time I go to Bolzano, stopping by Franziskaner Bäckerei is practically a ritual! I can't resist: as soon as I walk in, the smell of freshly baked bread makes my mouth water. Strudel? I always have it before leaving, otherwise the trip would be pointless! And the bread... guys, the pretzels are amazing, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect for nibbling while walking around the city. Then there are all those other products with (to me) unpronounceable names, but really... they're delicious, each one better than the last! And it's not just the products that make the difference: the ladies and the entire staff are incredible! Always super smiley, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. I remember once when I didn't know what to choose, a lady had me try three types of bread, saying, "Try them, you'll see which one you like!"... well, she was right, I went home with a happy bakery haul! 😄 In short, this place is a must-see for me every time I'm in Bolzano. Fantastic products, valuable advice, and genuine smiles! If you're passing through Bolzano, you really can't miss it!

Very good bakery for South Tyrolean specialties such as Schüttelbrot.
