Wonderful attraction! No matter how many walks you take, you will pass by the steps many times if you stay in the historic center! There is no ticket and access is free! You are not allowed to eat or sit on the steps! It is beautiful at all hours! In the morning, shortly after 8 am, you will see it empty without people! In the afternoon, just before nightfall, if the sky is clear, it has fantastic colors and in the evening, illuminated, it is equally unique! The fountain in the square is under maintenance but still remains amazing! It is worth going up and down them!

It is generally very crowded and the restaurants around it are very expensive. Of course you have to see it when you are in Rome, but your expectations should not be too high
