Il Bacaro ci è stato consigliato da amici che hanno vissuto a Padova per molto tempo . Il locale ha l’aspetto di una osteria tipica, piccolo ed accogliente, pertanto conviene prenotare in anticipo. Il servizio è veloce e cortese, le cameriere sono presenti ma non invadenti. Anche il menù è coerente con lo stile delle osterie essendo molto essenziale e caratterizzato dalla presenza di piatti del giorno. La qualità del cibo è buona, le quantità sono adeguate e i piatti vengono presentati con cura. Soddisfacente anche la carta dei vini. Unica nota stonata è stata il conto, i prezzi sono troppo alti, altrimenti avrebbe meritato le 5 stelle.

Let's forget the whole local patriotic superstructure and the anticipatory reviews, then with two people and a bill of just over a hundred euros we get a good 3. A friend said after looking at the photos: it looks like mom's and that's what it was . Solid, not very sophisticated cuisine, sometimes mom managed it really well, sometimes not. We would particularly like to highlight the risotto with salciccia and radiccio, which was really balanced between the four main ingredients and was really something new. I don't even want to imagine which dark fishing boat the tough, surly cod came from. My stomach had a lot to do with it. The house wines are not worth mentioning, but the café afterwards is. The service did its job. You should also make a reservation during the week because it is absolutely full.

We booked for two people and there was only room for counter service, which turned out to be a nice surprise. Bigoli with white Paduan court ragù of guinea fowl and hen are truly exceptional, as are the fettuccine with hen and guinea fowl livers and radicchio. Given the goodness of the dishes, we later opted to have a second course, which was also really excellent. We tried: Vicentina-style cod with polenta and guinea fowl with cherry sauce and polenta. Finally, we also took two homemade desserts: tiramisu and cheesecake, very good. If there is an opportunity to return to Padua, I will certainly stop by again. I recommend booking because it is almost always full.

Everything delicious at Bacaro Padovano! The food is fresh and cooked well, highly recommended for tasting the local cuisine. The portions are filling but without leaving a feeling of heaviness; the service is quick and the employees are very welcoming. I'm not from Padua but I will definitely go back every time I have the chance.
