Bacaro Padovano In Padova

Hidden gem. Very interesting and quality dishes. We started with the Venetian special of chicken, raisins, onions and bread. This is a warm dish that is light and tasty. For mains, my wife had the black squid in cuttlefish and spaghetti (might be a different past but resembled spaghetti) which she loved. I had an egg noodle pasta with ground gunea hen. Superb dish. The bottle of Lugano white was a perfect match and a great price. Staff was super friendly. Had to wait 30 minutes for table so plan in advance.

Bacaro Padovano si mangia con il giusto e una qualità più che discreta Padova ha ancora una della caratteristiche che rendono tale una città; poter mangiare fuori, in centro con qualità e prezzi adeguati Paolo è stato bravo a trovare ancora una volta il posto adatto alla prima delle cene di compleanno dei “tre amici”. Ma giocava in casa, perché ho ancora una volta a volta l’impressione che a Padova (a differenza che a Venezia e forse di altri luoghi devastate dal turismo) sia ancora possibile quello che in Italia era partica comune. Trovare in città, anche in centro, posti dove concedersi una buona cena ad un prezzo accettabile. Buoni primi, secondi di gusto, dolci gustosi. Tre piatti a testa, bagnati da un buon Tai rosso, con una spesa onesta hanno accompagnato la nostra serata padovana   

Delightful atmosphere, excellent dishes, unique, but with an eye on tradition, perfect staff, fair bill.

I went there (or rather returned) with my 6 month old daughter. Warm welcome, they sat me at a table suitable for a stroller. Stellar food and wine (Valpolicella Riserva) not even mentioning it for how good it was. I rarely go to Padua, but if it's to eat, I know where to go.

I had a delicious 3 course meal of squid, pasta with anchovies and onion sauce and sea bass. Overall I paid around 50€ including wine. The price was appropriate for the quality. The restaurant is a bit easy to miss if you are not actively searching for it. If you're looking to treat yourself with a well made meal I can highly recommend this place :).

Cozy and typical local place, nice atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff. Assorted menu with traditional Paduan dishes and excellent choice of wines. Portions and prices are normal. Recommended place.

Fabulous Padovano restaurant, excellent quality food, very kind staff and ready to answer any questions, I recommend it because it deserves it 👍👍👍 Congratulations 😍👏👏👏 The first courses are missing from the photos, which I didn't immortalize because of my gluttony, but the bigoli are truly excellent 😋😋😋

Recommended to me by a local. Went there twice and their dishes are so delicious! I particularly love their bigoli in salsa and tiramisu. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would return!

Il Bacaro ci è stato consigliato da amici che hanno vissuto a Padova per molto tempo . Il locale ha l’aspetto di una osteria tipica, piccolo ed accogliente, pertanto conviene prenotare in anticipo. Il servizio è veloce e cortese, le cameriere sono presenti ma non invadenti. Anche il menù è coerente con lo stile delle osterie essendo molto essenziale e caratterizzato dalla presenza di piatti del giorno. La qualità del cibo è buona, le quantità sono adeguate e i piatti vengono presentati con cura. Soddisfacente anche la carta dei vini. Unica nota stonata è stata il conto, i prezzi sono troppo alti, altrimenti avrebbe meritato le 5 stelle.
