Bacaro Padovano has always been a source of great satisfaction. The perfect place both for a dinner as a couple and for eating with a few friends in a welcoming place with excellent dishes. Trained and helpful staff.

The evening of Valentine's Day led us to this corner of Padua, where you can still breathe the soul of the real city. A place where time almost seems to have stopped, where hospitality and flavors have remained untouched by time. The place is not very large, although continuing along the counter there are a couple of fairly large rooms. It is always advisable to book. Kindness and attention to the customer are at home. The menu is interesting and does not contain too many choices, in this way the customer can orient himself better. Then there are the separate dishes of the day which enrich the menu. Meatballs with polenta cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, you can taste the sea. The octopus, too, with artichokes, was excellently cooked. I opted for a traditional pasta and beans enriched with raw red radicchio on top...an elegant combination. Taste of old-fashioned pasta and beans. Not to mention the Vicenza-style cod. I always eat it when I can, but I've never had it so good. Tender, tasty but delicately and above all very digestible. Those chefs in the kitchen are gods! The second courses were brought to us by the chef himself like an artist brings his work, extraordinary. Wide choice of wines, many venues, authentic pearls. We opted for a Terralba di Baone, the Mayor's wine, an amazing white. On the nose, pineapple and grapefruit, with hints of almond and white flowers, delicate flavour, you can smell the Euganean Hills. We concluded with homemade desserts, a pussy and a tiramisu accompanied by a Morlacco cherry blood and a recioto. An evening to remember. We will be back! Then leaving the historic center offers a healthy and romantic walk!

Il Bacaro ci è stato consigliato da amici che hanno vissuto a Padova per molto tempo . Il locale ha l’aspetto di una osteria tipica, piccolo ed accogliente, pertanto conviene prenotare in anticipo.
Il servizio è veloce e cortese, le cameriere sono presenti ma non invadenti.
Anche il menù è coerente con lo stile delle osterie essendo molto essenziale e caratterizzato dalla presenza di piatti del giorno.
La qualità del cibo è buona, le quantità sono adeguate e i piatti vengono presentati con cura. Soddisfacente anche la carta dei vini.
Unica nota stonata è stata il conto, i prezzi sono troppo alti, altrimenti avrebbe meritato le 5 stelle.
