Bacaro Padovano In Padova

We arrived in Padua and confidently searched the internet for a place to have dinner and our search allowed us to enjoy a dinner with well-prepared dishes from traditional Paduan cuisine, assisted by a friendly and never intrusive service.

We visited this restaurant last July during a vacation and loved it. The restaurant is right in the city center, beautifully decorated, and has a pleasant atmosphere, with several tables, including barrel-style ones, and stools. The food is truly exceptional: Bigoli with Paduan court white ragù of guinea fowl and chicken, and Baccalà (Lofoten PGI stockfish cooked in milk) alla cappuccina with polenta, a Venetian recipe with nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, and pine nuts. The spicy and sophisticated polenta was a real surprise, a refined and by no means predictable flavor. A special thanks to Beatrice, the waitress who looked after us: extremely kind, always smiling, and professional. A highly recommended place for those seeking quality and tradition.

We loved it! We tried the bigoli with white ragù and the bigoli with anchovies and onions, and both dishes were really good. Very friendly and fast service. Reservations required! Payment with Satispay vouchers is also available.

A somewhat crowded place that serves good food in a modern and well-kept atmosphere.

Everything was good, but the portions were a bit small, especially for starters and first courses.

Delicious local food. Everything was spot on. The service was competent and friendly.

I haven't eaten so well in years! The cuttlefish were incredibly tender, and the flavors were a colorful fusion. Special mention for the dessert served with real cream! (Not the usual shabby spraypan.) Tired of leaving expensive and overrated restaurants irritated, I found in Bacaro Padovano a modern restaurant, but with an attention to quality I thought I'd lost. Thanks to the lady who served us. She accommodated our small needs without batting an eyelid. A rarity! Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos: I ate everything without bothering to waste time taking pictures.

Very welcoming and comfortable place, a place I would gladly return to for the service and the food. The tagliolini with white ragù were excellent! Excellent!! Even though it's a bit noisy.
