AZZUPPA Restaurant In Napoli

A real favorite! Our experience was memorable: the decor and atmosphere are truly unique, the service very friendly, and above all, the food exceptional (for the price, no less 🤯). The oxtail stew was simply divine! I highly recommend it!

We arrived almost by chance (I recommend making a reservation, by the way). We were lucky enough to find a table, and we weren't expecting what we were about to try. The food is spectacular, almost unreal; every bite was of an incomparable quality. Plus points because the place is tiny, with pleasant music and funky, provocative decor. The service is excellent. I highly recommend it.

A surprising and refined gem, far from the pizzas and the crowds. The cuttlefish carpaccio, with its hint of hazelnut, is tender and delicious. The shredded pork pairs artfully with the tagliatelle-shaped vegetables, both in texture and flavor. The caramelized apple cubes play well with the contrasts of sweet and salty, soft, crunchy, cold, and warm. Recommended with your eyes closed for the best enjoyment. The server spoke excellent French. We will be back.

A true gem in Naples! There were five of us dining at Azzupa, and it was, without exaggeration, an unforgettable experience. For €24/person (main course, dessert, water, and wine), we were treated to a timeless moment—both in the food and the atmosphere. The place, first of all: a totally original, almost theatrical decor. Tapestries with retro patterns, shades of blue and yellow, arabesques, frames hung haphazardly... or with genius. Woody Allen, Leonardo DiCaprio, secondhand objects from the 1930s to the 1970s. An old television with a wooden frame plays clips from old films on a loop, from Charlie Chaplin to other gems of cinema. Nothing seems to fit together... and yet everything works perfectly. It's warm, disconcerting, inspiring. And what's on the plate? A real firework. Here, there's no classic pizza or pasta (even if some recipes include them). These are fine, creative dishes, with masterful flavor combinations, blending tradition and modernity. Each bite is a surprise, a no-brainer. And what about the desserts! After ten days in the Naples region, this is where I finally tasted a dessert worthy of the name. The service reflects the place: simple, sincere, and generous. For this price, you'll eat cafeteria food anywhere else. Here, it's an almost gastronomic experience... at brasserie prices. A huge congratulations to the entire team. A place not to be missed.

Exceptional. From the ambiance to the service, to the palate. I highly recommend the light, refined, yet hearty fish soup. For meat lovers, pork cheeks are your thing. Delicious and comforting. Go for it!

What a surprise! Traveling to Naples, I came across this extremely refined and original little place. The same goes for the dishes, excellent combinations and generous portions. Not the classic Neapolitan restaurant but an elegant bistro, with giant homemade breadsticks! Luca is super friendly and helpful. Compliments for the attention to every detail (the cutlery rests are adorable!)

My my. Azzuppa! Never have I encountered an establishment where the line between contemporary and traditional styles is so masterfully straddled. The result is, as you can imagine, excellence...nay, magnificence. This, coupled with the unique and intriguing decor and an atmosphere of decidedly chill vibes combine to leave one in a state of stunned satisfaction. My partner and I truly were in agreement (a rarity!) that Azzuppa stands head and shoulders above many of the restaurants available in Naples. The very best of luck to you all, your toil is not in vain.

A Hidden Gem in Napoli This is a small, family-run restaurant — the father and his children are both in the kitchen and out on the floor which makes the experience so much better. We had the eggplant parmigiana and cuttlefish carpaccio for starters. Then we had fish soup, oxtail ragù, pasta Genovese, and pork belly — all amazing. Rich flavors, comforting dishes, and everything cooked with real care. The interior is quirky and full of charm — old photos, mismatched furniture, and plenty of personality. If you’re looking for an authentic, heartfelt meal in Napoli, this place is a must.
