Azzicc Azzicc In Pontecagnano faiano

A few evenings ago we were here for dinner, reading some reviews I was hesitant: however I don't agree with any negative reviews!!! I really appreciated the fact that there are "few" choices and that it is not possible to change the dishes: tradition and uniqueness are maintained. We ordered a platter of cold cuts and cheeses and then a Scarpariello: spectacular!!! I found the portions generous. As for the location, I think it is very characteristic and has a homely feel and pleasant background music. I also found the waitress to be professional, polite and very attentive (she even changed the bread basket without us having to ask her). Great place, I highly recommend it

I was told about Azzicc Azzicc with the recommendation that they prepare wonderful fish dishes, and after eating here I can confirm this. The restaurant is very large and located in a quiet area, so sitting outside is relaxing, also helped by the decor that isolates you from the rest of the world. Inside I loved the decor, which showcases the rich culture of Campania with the artwork on the walls and the period furniture. We were the first customers of the evening and the service we received was very quick and friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. There are so many options of delicious fish dishes, I wish I could have ordered them all. We ordered Grilled Calamari on Arugula, Mussels and Octopus in Tomato Sauce, and Gnocchi with Courgette Flowers and Clams. All dishes were prepared and served perfectly, and the Gnocchi were so soft and went great with the clams and sauce. The bread on the table was essential for making the slipper once we finished eating. One of the highlights of the evening was when the owner approached our table to ask if we liked the food, and had a pleasant conversation with us. It's nice to receive such excellent service and such a warm experience, almost as if you were eating at the home of someone who invited you. This restaurant is a place you want to keep secret, but at the same time you want to tell everyone about. Next time I'm in Pontecagnano, I will definitely come back to try other dishes from the menu and especially their Scarpariello!

Accoglienza famigliare cortese ...locale si presenta carinissimo accogliente e bello una musica di sottofondo che accompagna i piatti ....che superlativamente buonissimi consiglio... e non sono di Pontecagnano...

Abbiamo apprezzato molto la bontà dei piatti serviti. Abbiamo scelto 2 antipasti ( 1 a base di verdure ed 1 con misto di salumi e formaggi),2 primi ( gnocchetti con vongole e broccoletti) e 2 dolci fatti da loro. Tutto ottimo. Lo chef ha idee molto precise sul come proporre la propria cucina. Idee che sono chiaramente espresse nel menú. Non sevono caffè. Prezzi nella norma.

Nice and welcoming location, parking a few steps from the restaurant, very convenient. Staff not too friendly, bad for the lack of flexibility in the composition and modification of the dishes, for example you cannot choose to receive a dish that on the menu contains cheese, without cheese. Note for the three stars, good quality food but decidedly unbalanced value for money, high prices.
