Athos Bistrot & Pizza In Riva del garda

I only tried the restaurant and I must say that I was satisfied.

The first night we arrived we ate pizza, and it was really good.

We stayed at this property because it's conveniently located. From the outside, the hotel looks good, but as soon as you pass from the reception to the stairs, things change. It's a tacky attempt to make something seem okay when it's not. The room doors remind me of my grandparents' doors, and the same goes for the French windows and shutters. (In our room, the rope to lift them was a bit daunting... see photo.) The bed was a double, but small, and the mattress... let's say it was snug. The bathroom had obviously been redone a few years ago, but it was neglected, and to get the shower water to come out at an acceptable temperature, we had to spend a few minutes fiddling with the mixer tap. We didn't win, but we found a good compromise. The air conditioning (rather medieval in appearance), which in our case (and in the room of our travel companions as well) WAS BREAKING DOWN, giving us a nightmarish, sweaty night. We reported the malfunction several times, but no solution was found. The breakfast is available, and there's neither praise nor blame here; it's just what you need for those with modest expectations. The staff is kind and helpful, and unfortunately, they had to put up with my dissatisfaction. Personally, I don't think I'll ever set foot in there again.

My husband and I decided to spend a few days in Riva del Garda with a couple of friends. I booked our stay at the Hotel Athos, where we had a wonderful time. Camilla and Zei welcomed us with kindness and professionalism, always available and attentive, and provided thorough and detailed information on how to best enjoy Riva and the surrounding area. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. All the dining room and breakfast staff were extremely kind and professional. And then there was the food...the dishes were served with great care and, above all, delicious. My sincere compliments to the manager and all the staff at the Hotel Athos...we absolutely recommend it and we will definitely return. Thank you.

The food in the restaurant is delicious. The staff are very friendly, and everything is very clean. Highly recommended 👍

The hotel is conveniently located near the center of Riva del Garda, a 20-minute walk or public transportation ride away. The Varone Caves are a leisurely 15-minute walk away. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean, with a comfortable bed and a varied and plentiful breakfast. Their restaurant/pizzeria is also a must-try, serving truly delicious food. The staff is extremely friendly and highly recommended.

It's a cozy hotel. It's very clean, which is the most important thing for me. There's a good restaurant downstairs with delicious food. Breakfast is also decent.

I didn't live there, but the restaurant is very nice and the prices are great.

A place to take into consideration. The pizza was very good, but the service could definitely be improved. The staff is a bit disorganized and at the end of the dinner it almost seemed like they wanted to kick us out. As soon as we cleared the last plate, they immediately asked us if we wanted coffee. Wouldn't it have been better to let the customer enjoy a few minutes of break and then ask for dessert and, afterwards, coffee? In fact, one of us had to get up to ask for the dessert menu, which luckily was good and plentiful. In short, I will definitely go back because, I repeat, the food is good. But we need to educate kids better.
