Truly wonderful experience, food and wine! Best pata negra that we've ever had, great octopus, amazing and local wine selection and a really nice, calm and friendly atmosphere. If we're ever able, we will be going back for sure!

I can't explain Assirto. I'll just say that from the outside, you might almost miss it, especially in the summer: it's perhaps the only restaurant in Moneglia without outdoor seating. But I assure you, I've tried them all, and this is by far the best. I don't think I've ever eaten such good meat in my life. I'm talking about the roast pata negra, a special cut they ship especially from Spain. They take extraordinary care in choosing the ingredients, and it shows: they focus entirely on quality, and the results are there to taste, see, and appreciate! The night before, I had a shrimp mince that was absolutely amazing. And then there are the owners: special, passionate people who put their heart into every detail. I live abroad, and I already know that Assirto will be one of those places I'll miss dearly!

If you are looking for the best restaurant in Moneglia, and as far as I am concerned, in the wider region, you have come to the right place. Luca will not only blow your mind with his encyclopaedic culture and (if you’re lucky) his stentorian voice and musical talents, but most importantly with his fine palate and impeccable research of flavours. Let him tempt you with his “Mediterranean” pata negra pork loins and be prepared to be amazed. A rare gem, hidden away in the heart of Moneglia’s carrugio.

Got a table on our last evening in beautiful Moneglia. Wonderful local food and well-matched wine. Great warmth from the hosts, who made us feel at home from the moment we walked in the door. Before we left as the last, Luca played a song for us on the piano in Milanese dialect in honor of our eldest son who has studied there. Everything was very touching.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! The owners are incredibly friendly and we immediately felt at home. The food and wines are pricey, but definitely worth it! We left this adorable restaurant feeling completely satisfied and happy.

Best place in the entire region! This family owned restaurant is such an amazing experience. The food is 10/10 (highly recommend the shrimp tartare and the tune), service is impeccable and the restaurant space is cozy and unique! Will come back for sure and also bring family and friends! It's an experience!!! Small, intimate place, fish or meat dishes. Few, but with selected raw materials. Beyond the very special and delicious dinner, the welcome of Alessandra and Gianluca make you feel like you're at home. Varied and affordable cellar. One of the best evenings I can remember. Chapeau!

A very nice restaurant run by an Italian-German couple. We can confirm the good reviews. Here, you truly feel like a guest: explanations of the dishes and drinks are provided. Highly recommended. The Iberico pork, so highly praised by Feinschmecker and Forbes, was very good, although a bit too heavily glazed for me.

Zion Beach

08/03/2026: We tried this restaurant today for lunch, since we were passing through. Nice atmosphere, located on the beach, full of windows. The waiters are helpful, but there were some drawbacks: the menu wasn't brought to us until 20 minutes after we sat down; they mixed up our orders and made us wait 30 minutes for a second course (because they "misunderstood"); to get two bottles of water, we had to ask for them at least four times before they delivered them to our table. Apparently, it's very common to get orders wrong, since we heard complaints from every table. We tried the spaghetti with clams (full of oil, the flavor was good but nothing special, a very simple sauce with parsley and oil); the fried calamari and shrimp were good, and the mixed grill was adequate. For dessert, the tiramisu was good, as was the "deconstructed" millefeuille with red fruits. All in all ok, nothing special, I wouldn't go back.
07/03/2026: If you're in a hurry, go to Mc's; if you want to spend a pleasant day, come here! Excellent food and good wine at the right price right by the sea! The staff is attentive to your every need! Highly recommended!
