Asquella In Gerace

Wonderful lunch experience!!! We went with our children and felt like we were at our grandparents' house for a Sunday family lunch. The children were pampered with dedicated food from starters to desserts. Excellent food quality at reasonable prices. Thank you, we will be happy to return. We tried the very rich local starter, a special norm and the pasta A Squella 🙂

Hospitality, kindness, courtesy are truly not always so obvious. I had a good time. Well roasted meat and excellent homemade lemon dessert.

A' Squella is a must-see when I find myself having lunch in the area, whether with my wife, friends or members and foreigners visiting the "Re Italo" Club in Reggio (who have always appreciated the cuisine); a welcoming environment in line with the architecture of Gerace; local Aspromonte-Ionian cuisine; extremely courteous staff.

Pleasant discovery! Delicious dishes with excellent raw materials. Generous portions! Our choice of homemade pasta was excellent. My husband, being a vegetarian, still had lunch tasting excellent ricotta and vegetables, beans in the starter and the excellent pasta with mushrooms. Pasta with Eggplant 🍆 really delicious! 😋 The service was really kind, attentive and welcoming. The ingredients were explained to me and I appreciated the kindness of the waitress in the room. The room is very rustic but very tidy, clean and welcoming. I liked everything and I had a chat with the lady at the cash desk (payment by debit card was accepted) and they offered us Zibibbo and biscuits ☺️ I will return to Gerace especially to have lunch here! Excellent welcome and kindness of the staff, attentive to the well-being of the customer Simple but historic place due to its origins (town prison and then oil mill with a beautiful millstone on display) Quality and well cooked food All pretty good and right portions It's a shame that there was a little bit of moldy cheese at the bottom of the cheese maker Some prices are probably a little high but an initial taste is offered, and at the end of the lunch, some homemade sweets with an almond liqueur

Peccato non si possano dare più di 5 pallini.. Ristorante alle porte di gerace, cibo ottimo, dagli antipasti ai dolci, porzioni abbondanti, servizio cortese e veloce, prezzi più che onesti.. Ho assaggiato cibi che mangiavo da piccolo a casa di mia nonna, e che raramente mi è capitato di trovare nei ristoranti della zona.. Davvero consigliato!!!
