Our recent dining experience at Porto Di Mare in Livorno was nothing short of extraordinary—a true culinary highlight that we will not forget. From the moment we stepped inside, we were treated to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere that perfectly set the stage for the incredible meal to come.
The focus on fresh, high-quality seafood is evident in every dish, and the preparations are executed with remarkable skill. To start, the Italian oysters (can't remember the Italian name, but the ones in the photo) were spectacular. They were incredibly fresh, plump, and clean-tasting, presenting a beautiful briny essence that was the perfect opener.
For the main course, I indulged in the tuna steak, and it was simply sublime. Prepared to perfection, the exterior had a beautiful sear while the inside was gorgeously pink and tender, melting in my mouth. It was clear that this was a top-grade cut of fish, handled with the respect it deserved.
My son had the stuffed calamari and my wife fried sea fruits. They were great, but the tuna steak is highly recommended.
To cap off the evening, the dessert—a Fondant—was the ideal conclusion. Rich, decadent, and executed flawlessly with a warm, gooey center, it was a comforting and sophisticated finish to a magnificent meal.
Finally, a special thank you must go to our waiter, Antonella. Her service was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped make our dinner feel effortless and truly special.
Porto Di Mare isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination for anyone seeking an authentic, high-end Italian seafood experience. If you find yourself in Livorno, do yourself a favor and reserve a table—you won't be disappointed!

We arrived by chance and found ourselves in a welcoming place with courteous and knowledgeable staff. We tried the typical caciucco, well-prepared and served with soup and generous fish slices.
Antonella, the waiter, was excellent. Friendly, spontaneous, and lively, she's not to be missed!

Porto di Mare restaurant is conveniently located near Terrazza Mascagni. The restaurant also offers a 3-hour ticket for underground parking, a 5-minute walk away.
The location is minimal but welcoming and makes you feel at home. The space is spacious and offers outdoor seating in front and behind the restaurant.
The food is excellent, with little to say. I had a mixed appetizer with five tastings, particularly appetizing the excellent salmon and melt-in-the-mouth anchovies. I also ordered a mixed fried fish platter of squid and baby octopus. All of it was plentiful and excellent. To finish off, I couldn't help but order the traditional Livorno punch, which was also excellent.
The bill was reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.
Highly recommended for both an evening with friends and a family dinner.

A quaint place in Livorno where you can taste traditional Livorno dishes.
We had a mix of appetizers, and I'd recommend the Livorno-style stuffed mussels, the dish that struck me the most for its flavor. Afterwards, the cacciucco (a star dish) was a must, and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the waiters were all smiling and very kind, making you feel at home. It was recommended to us by a dear friend, Gabri from Livorno, to whom we thank him very much from Bergamo.
We'll be back.

A well-maintained restaurant on the seafront. You can sit outside, inside, or in the garden (which I recommend). I found both the fish and pasta very good, and they also offered us a fish entrée and amaro (excellent). Fair prices. Highly recommended!

The quality of the dishes offered is high, and they know how to handle the main ingredient, fish. Interesting appetizers, the boneless caciucchino (fish stew) was very good (but they also offer small boneless fillets, not just shellfish), and the stuffed squid was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
