Archivio Storico In Napoli

It wasn't my first time, and I went back for an evening they promoted on social media. Live music at Carosello Carosone from 7:30 PM. I arrived at 8:30 PM, but there wasn't any live music yet, just a DJ. I ordered a drink in the meantime, and they took the covers away, even though I might have eaten something later with live music in the background. Half an hour passed, and the piano was playing, but after less than 5 minutes it stopped. The DJ started playing again. An hour passed, and I decided to leave because it was 7:30 PM, and at around 10 AM, there was still no sign of the live music. I paid and left. I paid €27 for two (good) drinks, a bowl of olives, and a tarallini. €2 service charge... I knew the place was quite expensive, but I would have happily eaten something if it had been open on the night I went. A disappointment. Yet, almost all the tables were full, both downstairs and upstairs. I'm curious to know what happened, the piano worked for 5 minutes then broke?

Beautiful venue, very good drinks. Shame about the service at the bar. On a Saturday night, the staff was slow because they were understaffed. One bartender was only taking orders for tables, and only one to serve the many patrons at the bar. The bar was crowded because all seats were sold out.

Nothing to say, simply an excellence of Naples 🔝

We stopped for an Apero at Archivio Storico. The ambient is nice, set in a quiet area of Vomero, in Naples. The shop is well presented and nicely decorated. The menu boasts some enticing drinks and food, as well as some quite interesting signature cocktails. The experience overall however did not meet expectations: food was overpriced, 32€ for a plate of cold cuts and cheese, both average in flavor and quality, and half of it was salad. We drank a bottle of very nice local wine suggested by the staff, however we found the very same bottle at a nearby restaurant for 10€ less! In essence the price-quality ratio is totally off: Archivio Storico wants to be an upscale place with elegant atmosphere, but ultimately not worth the premium in my opinion.

Honestly not great. Croutons toasted as hard as a rock and tasteless. Decent dishes. Lots of flashiness. The server wears gloves. Places your cutlery on a small piece of marble, but other than that. Meh...meh...not unforgettable.

Locale intrigante, ma con un accentuato odore di muffa. Visto il locale le aspettative sono alte ma. Menù (1 in 4) dentro una velina. Cameriere non preparato sui piatti, passaggi davanti ai commensali, 1 fetta di melanzana bruciata, il calice di vino arriva già nel bicchiere. Margine di miglioramento alto.
