18/02/2025: We recently stayed at Le Massif in Courmayeur and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, making it easy to access the slopes and the town. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciated. However, the hotel markets itself as family-friendly, but we found that a lot had changed this year. The children’s activities that were previously offered were no longer available, and while the hotel advertises that meals for children under six are free, we had to speak to a manager before they honoured this. The kids' room was also quite dark and not really a space where children would want to spend much time. Another issue was the pool policy—children are allowed to use it until 2pm, but since it only opens at 11am, it’s impossible to go before skiing or after, which defeats the purpose. Another issue was housekeeping—despite having three guests in our room, they repeatedly replaced the towels with only two, even after multiple requests to correct it.
