Antico Teatro In Foggia

The restaurant has a large, beautiful dining room, and a smaller one, if I may say so, carved out of the street outside and closed off. A friend recommended it if we wanted to indulge in the appetizers. We accepted the challenge, and we grabbed the drying rack with cured meats. I must say the cured meats were truly delicious, as were the battered vegetables. I would have used fewer standard fries and opted for baked or fried potatoes, but they weren't homemade. The fried foods were also good, but we didn't finish them; they were too heavy. The bruschetta, the scaglioni, the mozzarella, and the olives were good, but I don't understand the aperitif tarallini... as for the two appetizers on the plates, they weren't excellent. Sorry. I appreciated the limoncello offered at the end of the evening. I think the platter needs to be rethought a bit, and some dishes should be replaced with something more traditional. The quality of the ingredients is good. I recommend it, and I hope to return to try other dishes.

Well-kept and welcoming place, polite staff, fast service... Wide variety of dishes even if we went there for a party and the appetizers were not excellent... I was hoping for the pizza which unfortunately arrived undercooked and soft... Too bad

Old Foggia is a magical place from the past, and reliving it here is always a pleasure, especially when there are places like Antico Teatro that let you experience the flavors of the real Foggia. Then, from the owners, Ignazio and Manuela, to the staff, they are impeccable, not to mention the great little Tommy who served me a delicious dish. At the end, when we were leaving, he made me stop and I dedicated a song to Ignazio: MY WAY, and yes, my way, exactly like that, one of the most beautiful streets in old Foggia. We'll be back soon, I promise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Excellent pizzeria in the historic center. Very friendly owners and good prices. Recommended.

The pizza is delicious, there is a wide variety of typical dishes and the desserts are always fantastic!
