Antico Frantoio In Sorrento

We stayed in Sorrento for 11 days and came back here twice because it was so good. It's by far our favorite restaurant in Sorrento. It's truly an experience you must try.

Sometimes you organize a gathering like you plan a trip: with care, intuition... and a pinch of trust. As president of Club Cuore Cabrio, for our first gathering on the Sorrento Coast, I needed a restaurant that wasn't just "good," but reliable, logistical, and welcoming. Without knowing it personally, guided by reviews and the availability of parking (pure gold for events like ours), I chose Antico Frantoio. The first phone call was already a response: genuine availability, flexibility on the menu and price, total openness even to last-minute arrivals (event organizers know how much this makes a difference). Then the day of the gathering arrives. And there, my trust is confirmed: excellent food quality, a view of Sorrento and the sea that reconciles you with time, seamless organization, convenient parking. Everything runs smoothly, stress-free. Like a convertible on a perfect road. For me, it wasn't just a successful choice, it was a discovery. From now on, L'Antico Frantoio will become a reference point for my gatherings on the Sorrento Coast. When a place works well, it simplifies your life... and makes you want to return. We certainly will. 🌊🚗☀️

We happened to be in the area and stopped for Sunday lunch… the raw ham starter with a really humble plait, that is, 3 slices of raw ham and 2 tiny slices of pre-cut mozzarella, which for me was not even fresh, cost €12… The 2 first courses were good, but I think €36 is a bit high for an osteria… it's a nice place, very rustic, with a panoramic view, but I don't think I'll go back…

We made an order from our hotel, and received one of the most delicious pizzas we have ever eaten, amazing

Everything was delicious, the appetizers and pizza were excellent! The quality is second to none! The only negative is the waiters' rush to clear your plate. My advice, rather than a criticism, is to tell the staff to slow down; if you go out on a Saturday night or any other day/night, it's also to relax, while this rush is more of a source of anxiety. Of course, on the two occasions I've been there (and there will be others - I hope with this caution), I'm talking about times when the place was packed, not closing time.

A stellar atmosphere, abandoned dishes, and fabulous service: these aren't enough to describe the experience at Antico Frantoio. This restaurant, under new management, offers traditional dishes and surprisingly affordable menus, and promises an unforgettable experience. All this with a splendid sea view, in a rustic, welcoming, and meticulously decorated space (currently also beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Amazing pasta, pizza, wine. Great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and helpful
