A place I would say unmissable for those who find themselves in the Serenissima and Superba Genova: truly excellent focaccia and, not to be taken for granted, the ladies are really nice. I make a special mention for the artisanal pesto that you can buy by weight: amazing!!!!

Vengo spesso in questo forno, perché, a parer mio, fa una delle migliori focacce di Genova. Consiglio anche la focaccia alle cipolle e la focaccia di Recco. Il personale è molto cordiale.

Product quality and courtesy are the strong points of this ancient Genoese bakery, a little hidden in Vico della Casana (as the name suggests), but a stone's throw from Piazza de Ferrari and San Matteo. The products, sweet and savory, are always very fresh and freshly baked. I highly recommend it.

Per volare a pranzo andate qui! Le paste al forno sono "celestiali" per non parlare delle varie focacce, con farciture magistralmente composte. Gentilezza, pazienza e disponibilità accompagnano la bontà dei prodotti. Lode particolare al dolce tipico di Genova vera prelibatezza! Complimenti

07/10/2025: The ravioli are very good; I recommend the beef ones. There's practically no service and so few tables, you risk having to eat standing up.
02/10/2025: This little place has always been overlooked from afar but never tried. One day I decided to try it for a quick, different lunch break, and I have to say I had the best grilled ravioli I've ever tasted. The beef ravioli, on the other hand, were too spicy for my taste, but I could still taste the good quality. I'll definitely be back.

04/10/2025: Pestobene serves one of the best pestos I’ve tried in Italy — rich, fresh, and full of authentic Ligurian flavor. The staff were warm and genuine, giving it that true local touch. There’s no seating available, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot, but absolutely worth stopping by if you want to taste real Genovese pesto. Highly recommended!
03/10/2025: Best pesto ever. We ate the small focaccia with pesto here, and afterward, because the pesto was so delicious, we had the fresh wheat trofie with pesto. It's great that you can specify how much trofie you want. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Genoa.
