A place we unexpectedly stumbled upon! After extensive research in the area, we found ourselves in the small village of Castellina in Chianti, centrally located and adorned with a charming square and tower. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and attention to detail. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as is the staff, whom we found to be very kind and friendly. The dishes are very tasty and beautifully presented, as well as plentiful! We decided to savor the delicious handmade pappardelle with wild boar, followed by a sliced ​​beef steak and grilled chicken with a side of baked potatoes and fried artichokes (in my opinion, the highlight). Everything was delicious! The meat was high-quality and well-treated. Finally, we indulged in a tiramisu and a truly unique persimmon mousse! And all accompanied by an excellent Chianti Classico! Recommended for an evening as a couple or with friends and family. Excellent value for money!

We had a wonderful lunch at La Torre on Saturday. We had the antipasti misti and then suggested stuffed capon neck. Both were delicious. We usually order two other different dishes to share, but this time we both had the faraona con fungi e tartufo. Luckily, we didn't have to share, because it was delicious. And to finish on a high note, we had a cachi mousse dessert. Also incredibly delicious. We enjoyed a Chianti Classico Poggio alle Mure with it. An excellent value for money. In short, La Torre is highly recommended.

Perfect dinner. Well-made ribollita, tagliolini with truffles made with delicious fresh pasta, creamy and fragrant. Perfect fillet, tender and perfectly cooked, and exceptional grilled chicken with that crispy exterior. Good wine list. Excellent service.

A flawless family dinner. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, from the stuffed neck with giardiniera to the black crostini, the grilled chicken, the wild boar stew, but the tripe was wonderful, the best I've ever eaten. I've known this place since I was a kid, and I have to say that the years have passed, but eating at the Antica Trattoria La Torre is a guarantee. Congratulations 👏👏

Situata in pieno centro, questa trattoria offre piatti squisiti che esprimono tutta la tradizione culinaria della zona. L’atmosfera accogliente e la qualità del cibo hanno reso la nostra pausa un momento davvero speciale dopo una giornata in bici. Un indirizzo da non perdere per chi vuole assaporare il vero Chianti.
