We were referred by the owner of Borgo Pida. It has exceeded our expectations. We ate there twice, 1x fish and 1x meat. It is absolutely recommended. Originally it was a butcher's shop.

Simple home-made trattoria, the dishes are good in taste, the price is Mrs. Lina, always attentive, with a thousand eyes on all the tables and not one compliments are missed, the fish is fantastic, the pasta is the same, the grilled rib is fabulous, I highly recommend it, not very easy to find just a little attention is needed immediately after the traffic lights on the right towards Marsala

I've traveled a lot around the world and I love good food and, of course, especially Italian cuisine.
But I'm not talking about the Gault & Millau kitchens, nor about the other high-quality star kitchens in the world, no, I'm talking more about the "simple" and "honest" cuisine, the cuisine that creates the most delicious dishes from the products typical of the country to do magic at all.
I look for these places, where the guest is still king, where you are still proud of your own kitchen and you get great quality at the right prices. As I said, I know Italy from top to bottom, have visited countless places and tried out all kinds of cuisine.
About two years ago I became aware of “Diegolina” by chance, because firstly it is not that easy to find, as it is very modest and without any big posters, very inconspicuously located on the main street of Guarrato and secondly because it is not in any travel guide or culinary bible.
Since this point two years ago, I have found my culinary paradise.
A 100% family-run ristorante where “la mama” stands in the kitchen and has the highest standards of “perfect food” for herself, everything that Signora Lina conjures up on the plate has a taste and an appearance to kneel down on.
In the kitchen you don't just cook, you celebrate creativity, you treat the products (all from your own farm or from the farming neighborhood and of course also from the fishmonger on the street) with incredible respect to bring out every single aroma of the respective product to assert it and, if necessary, to refine it with a clever hand.
Since that day two years ago, I have been a regular guest and a culinary perfect life without “Diegolina” is no longer imaginable for me.
Unfortunately I can only give this 5 stars, but even 100 stars wouldn't be enough.
diegolina is located in guarrato between birgi airport and trapani, anyone who passes by should eat there, diegolina is open 7 days a week, for lunch and dinner.

We had an excellent pasta dish but the service really left something to be desired.
2 servers and only 4 tables occupied when we arrived.
The waiters were running around like headless chickens 🤣 (in all directions) and seemed overwhelmed.
Very basic setting.
But I repeat, the dishes were excellent!

If you judged from the outside, you wouldn't go in here, but I'm glad we did! The food was fantastic, meat fresh from our own butcher shop. The pasta with Pistachio is absolutely great! Highly recommended!
