Entering Antica Trattoria dell'Angelo is like taking a journey into true Piacenza tradition: an authentic place, steeped in history and home cooking. The welcome is warm and genuine, the kind that immediately makes you feel at ease.
The cuisine is a celebration of local flavors: I had traditional tortelli, the dish of the day braised in wine, cured meats, and gnocco fritto, while my companion had other dishes, all of which were exceptional. The portions are generous, the flavors full and authentic, just as you'd expect from a true trattoria.
The restaurant has a timeless atmosphere: simple and convivial, unique whether you're drinking wine by the glass, whether you're a foreigner or a local!

Welcoming place, friendly staff, and excellent food. Next time I'm in Piacenza, I'll definitely be back. I recommend making a reservation because it's always busy. And there must be a reason.

I've dined alone twice at Trattoria dell'Angelo. A classic trattoria, with traditional decor. I dined in the basement. I had typical Piacenza dishes, from picola to agnolotti. All excellent dishes, seasoned and very tasty. Try the horse meat, a typical dish and very good. I had it with polenta. The service was very fast and friendly. The price was perhaps a few euros higher than I expected, but I'd say it's fair enough.

We had a wonderful evening, with an incredibly friendly host who seemed to be doing ten things at once (a compliment). We enjoyed delicious antipasti, and we had the Anolini in Brodo and Malfati al ragu di salsiccia, which were also excellent. The dessert, Totta dell'Angelo, was also delicious. Drinking wine from porcelain bowls was a typical local experience, a wonderful experience.

Scoperto grazie ad internet durante una visita a Piacenza. Il locale si distingue per un ambiente rustico e per una cucina casalinga, ma molto valida. Il menù non risulta troppo articolato e si fonda su piatti tipici della cucina locale. Eccellente la lasagna fatta con ragù di coppa. Servizio rapido e prezzi popolari. Sicuramente un punto di riferimento nella ristorazione della città.

Hervorragende bürgerliche Küche zu angenehmen Preisen in einem alten Stadthaus. Wir hatten als Appetizer regionale Salami und Schinken bzw. Sformatino, dann Chicche, gnocchiähnlich mit Pilzen und brauner Sauce auf Rinderbrühebasis, sowie Anolini, gefüllte kleine Teigtaschen in einer klaren Rinderbrühe. Als Secondi wählten wir etwas Besonderes, nämlich Bistecca Cavallo (wird nur rare serviert, superzart) und Asinina, ein Gulasch vom Esel, das vielleicht ein wenig zu stark gewürzt war.
Dazu Hauswein aus den hier typischen Keramikschüsselchen. Alles in allem 90 Euro, passt gut. Superfreundlicher Service.
