Antica Taverna a Chiaia In Napoli

(Pro tip: Don't eat at any restaurant that calls out to you from the sidewalk. The really good ones don't need to do that.) This bustling, very touristy spot serves tasty seafood alongside friendly but rushed service. Plan for 50 euro per person. As with earlier reviews, we found the pricing confusing at best. After the first two items we tried to order were out of stock, the server offered any fish we wanted in any course we wanted. But one item we ordered as an antipasti was charged as an unspecified secondo for 25 or 30 euro. Another item we ordered, the recommended daily fish special, was charged as the other unlabeled secondo for 25 or 30 euro. And the moment your check is presented a card reader is pressed into your face so you don't have a chance to inspect. If you choose to eat here, I recommend ordering from the menu and confirming all pricing upfront.

The sisters are wonderful! Space food, I highly recommend the fried mussels. 10/10 experience

5 stars because there aren't 6. Fantastic experience in a typically Neapolitan atmosphere. 3 very nice sisters who transmit happiness and joy. Sublime pasta and potatoes, it feels like eating at home.

Everything great. Were seated at a table of four with a local couple. Turned out to be a jackpot. We had a really great evening with great company and food!

Excellent raw material, technically excellent preparation with traditional Neapolitan recipes. Very honest price and kind and friendly service. Only note (which does not affect the evaluation): we recommend buying more cutlery so as not to run out of service :))

I had a great time!! Very courteous and helpful staff. The proposals are excellent: octopus with salad, fried cod with vegetables, swordfish. The inside is too full of tables.

Excellent trattoria in the Chiaia area! Quality raw materials and preparations without frills but with a special taste! The plus is the 3 sisters (and the brother) who run the place... very approachable, super nice and capable of making you live a true Neapolitan experience! Well done! I will definitely go back

Five of us had dinner with them and we were all satisfied! While waiting to be seated at the table, we were even offered some prosecco. We absolutely recommend this place, specifically the fried anchovies, the meatballs with sauce and the linguine with fresh scampi! There aren't many places outside and you will almost certainly have to queue, but it's worth it!

In het drukke straatje vriendelijk opgevangen door de gastvrouw. Beetje krap zitten maar op zich te doen. Veel gerechten met vis. Geen pizza hier. Qua kwaliteit en versheid heb ik mijn twijfels en ik had zeker geen smaak explosie. Weinig verrassende smaken helaas. Prijs niet de goedkoopste dus voor mij geen dikke voldoende.

Estávamos numa turma grande (16), e nem por isso deixamos de ser bem atendidos pelas simpatissímas Sras Carmella, Maria e Antonella. Elogiar a comida italiana é redundância, mas todos os pratos estavam divinos (plus para as bruschettas, polvo grelhado e a massa com camarão). Quando voltar à Napoli, estarei lá com toda certeza.
