Antica pizzeria da Michele In Palermo

Weekend in Palermo. I'll start by saying that my assessment is based solely on the type of pizza itself. Walking by pure chance, we stumbled upon the famous pizzeria Da Michele, so we decided to try their famous cartwheel pizza. Cooked in a wood-fired oven, the pizzas are traditionally very thin but delicious, with a light dough and good-quality ingredients. Personally, I'm not a fan of extremely thin pizzas, but this one is pleasant to eat. The place is welcoming and has a fairly quiet atmosphere.

It's relatively less authentic than the original location in Naples. The staff is quite polite, and the service is excellent. It seemed a bit more expensive than the Naples location, but overall, the prices are reasonable.

Nice place with great Neapolitan-style pizza, I highly recommend trying the Margherita! The service is fast, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s located in a nice area, perfect for a casual lunch or relaxed dinner. The ordering process is quick and easy, and the pizzas come out fresh with that perfect soft crust and flavorful tomato sauce. A great spot for pizza lovers looking for good quality and pleasant vibes in Palermo.

Great pizza, very close to the one in Naples.

The pizzas are truly delicious, reflecting the classic Neapolitan style. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the dishes are served quickly. We recommend dessert, because it's really worth it. We highly recommend it.

As a frequent guest of Antica Pizzeria da Michele in other locations, I was a bit underwhelmed by the Palermo branch. The pizza was nice, but not quite up to the standard I’ve experienced elsewhere, good, but not exceptional. The service felt a little inattentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant didn’t quite capture the warm, authentic feel I’ve enjoyed in other cities. Overall, it was a decent experience, but compared to other branches, this one fell short.

Friendly and helpful staff, a welcoming and well-kept place. Prices are a little above average. It's a shame that one of the pizzas was a bit too salty...
