Quiet place, welcoming atmosphere, like at home.

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices, simple but good cuisine. The internal garden is a joy.

The place is truly antique, filled with countless objects from times gone by. Personally, I found it fascinating, though some might find it over the top. I liked the background music. The service was excellent! The timing was very well managed! The waiter was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful! The wine and appetizers (cold cuts and cheese platters) were excellent! As for the main courses, I must say I was disappointed. The presentation of the mixed grill was excellent, but the quality of the meat was quite poor. The baked potatoes were raw inside. There was no salt on everything, and it wasn't even brought to the table so one could add a bit of salt to adjust the bland flavor. The place has a covered outdoor area, which is very nice and can only be used in warmer weather. The value for money is half-fair (if I may say so) given the quality of the main course. I forgot to mention that the entrance to the restaurant is unusual and at one point a bit creepy because of a mannequin that makes no sense to me. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here. I only advise the kitchen to prepare the meat freshly and not preheat it, because that's a shame!

Grandma's Cappellacci are delicious! The owners are kind and helpful! A family atmosphere immersed in the Tuscan countryside of Prato, which I personally appreciate very much! The local wine, Barco Reale, is the icing on the cake!

The best place my husband and I have ever eaten in Italy. The owners are the best. They were helpful and patient when we couldn't understand the language to order food. They have a garden that makes you want to spend a whole day there. The food is 10/10.

We had a wonderful dinner at Osteria dei Mercanti. We were looking for a small place for an intimate, romantic dinner for two, as our three children were staying with relatives. We were lucky; there were only a few people, and the outdoor tables and softly lit atmosphere really helped us achieve our goal. The dishes aren't generous, in fact, a little smaller than average, but that's fine, at least we managed to finish our first and second courses without indigestion. The food is good and the price is average. I had a first course with wild boar (tagliatelle, I think) and a rare tagliata (good 😋). My wife had tortelli di Carmignano, which were undercooked and small in quantity, but delicious. I recommend this place for intimate dinners, family dinners, or small groups. Sublime cuisine featuring meat and local produce. After our first visit, we decided to dine there every night during our stay in Carmignano! Salvatore in the dining room and his wife Graziella in the kitchen were impeccable hosts!

Arrived there at eight, took 15 minutes before we got water, 50 minutes before we got our drinks. We ordered a platter, two pasta dishes and tagliate steak. The mercanti platter was great, so that brings it up to 3 stars. But the waiting time was so long. Others arrived, ordered, got food, ate, and left before we got our pasta. The pasta dishes were ok, and there were some language difficulties so the steak we tried to say we wanted with the pasta showed up later, but as a tourist i cant blame the owner for only speaking italian. Although continuing to speak italian to us when we clearly did not speak it felt weird. We where there for two and a half hours for that dinner, and the waiter never tried to ask us if we wanted more to drink while waiting, even though all our glasses were empty. Some of the issues might have been a language problem, but we still felt the service was very lacking
