We finally decided to have lunch out on Easter day, despite the reviews we had read, so we wanted to try it anyway. The friendly staff, especially the boy, the wait was long for the dishes, of which I would have expected more Decent appetizers, dry lasagne, only ragù, no bechamel, I didn't like them, decent crepes Lamb ditto, tasteless potatoes to review the quality of a bit of everything Considering that the cover charge is 5 euros, excessive, madness I wouldn't return.

The dishes are very tasty and carefully prepared and the final desserts are a specialty of the Lady, who with her kindness and friendliness adds value to this restaurant which we certainly recommend.

Fantastic restaurant serving quality local cuisine. Really wonderful service and such a friendly welcome. If you want to experience genuine Ligurian fare this is the place to go.

Lunch for 2. 2 slices of farinata €9 seems excessive to me. Roast good but thin slices (2) with potatoes. Service a bit anxious. I wouldn't go back

Also this evening chef Tony enchanted us with his SUBLIME lean capon. No less so was the baked croaker served with a side of artichokes. Thanks also to you Angela who every time we come to the restaurant, you spoil us with your delicious desserts, which you prepare with so much care.

Beautiful tavern where you can taste excellent dishes from roast with potatoes, to veal with tuna sauce, to ossobuco with peas, carrots and rice, equally good desserts from bunet, apple pie accompanied by ice cream and pears cooked in wine, special thanks to Angela for the service offered and his kindness

First of all the negative reviews are absolutely wrong, this restaurant is one of the best, if not it is the best in Chiavari. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. Each dish and the ingredients that the chef uses are very different, especially cooking with whatever is in season at the time. The owner is lovely and does speak English as well. My husband and I brought three other couples for a special birthday dinner and everyone was so amazed at the food and the homemade desserts. This restaurant is definitely our go to for a relaxing dinner and the atmosphere is cozy. Can’t wait to go back!

Siamo stati a pranzo con amici e l'esperienza non è stata delle migliori. Lunga attesa per i piatti qualità nella media . La titolare poco empatica e a tratti scontrosa. Il cameriere invece gentilissimo e professionale. Non ci tornerei.

Abbiamo provato a pranzo e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto, spaghetti al pesto, acciughe limone, pomodoro mozzarella, vitello tonnato, fritto misto, ravioli al ragù e infine 2 crema caramello e sorbetto al limone.... Tutto buono e prezzi sono giusti per prodotti freschi.

02/04/2025: Passing along Via Balbi in the historic center of Genoa near the various universities, I entered this café bar of the well-known chain of typical Genoese cuisine of bars and cafés well present in the city and I had an excellent and delicious coffee at the counter with a small glass of sparkling water. The bar is small with many internal tables in the various internal rooms and is frequented mainly by young university students and it is possible to have breakfast and also lunch. As always in the various Mentelocale venues the strong point is represented by everything really lovely staff welcoming smiling competent kind friendly and helpful. They don't have table service, I think they only do it for lunch and so you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will come back another time for lunch. Finally, the prices are really good. As always they do not have table service maybe only at lunch and therefore you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will return another time for lunch. Finally the prices are really good.
