If you are looking for the real thing - this is it. They were stunned that we, a couple of tourist were even there. All others were Romans who bragged - "best authentic food in Rome". 5 min. from Villa Farnesina and the Corsini.

Great food we stumble upon this restaurant by accident going to a different place we watched through the window and decide to get in and of course they don't have any menu in English but we just pointed on other tables and ask for what they are having and every day that we had was amazing and very recommended

Very simple Roman food, but good. They only have a few things on the menu, but what they have is good, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Before you couldn't book, but now you have to, though I'm not sure how. Always busy.

A very small cozy restaurant. The homemade pasta tastes wonderful. But the restaurant has very few seats. You should make a reservation.

Typical Roman restaurant!
Small but very characteristic place with always different dishes of the day.
The meatballs with sauce are delicious.

EXCELLENT!! The real "grandmother's home cooking" feels like being at home, when grandmothers woke up early to prepare Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, there are no longer places like this, where the cuisine is made with passion and love and where customers don't feel like customers but "family members". The preparation of the menu and the raw materials used are truly "fresh". Excellent food, atmosphere and throwback to the past, all this is priceless! Everyone should eat here at least once in their life to understand the true tradition.

Tornare da Giovanni è sempre una bella esperienza, un posto autentico in mezzo alle tante trattorie per turisti che ormai spadroneggiano a trastevere che di vero hanno ben poco ...qui invece si respira la solita atmosfera uguale a tanti anni fa ,quando scoprii per caso questo locale. Cucina veramente romana ,pochi ma buoni i piatti del menu ,tutto dal sapore che sembra quello di casa ,prezzi più che giusti e soprattutto una grande cortesia del cameriere e del proprietario! Non cambiate mai!💞
