Typical Roman restaurant! Small but very characteristic place with always different dishes of the day. The meatballs with sauce are delicious. Absolutely excellent value for money

EXCELLENT!! The real "grandmother's home cooking" feels like being at home, when grandmothers woke up early to prepare Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, there are no longer places like this, where the cuisine is made with passion and love and where customers don't feel like customers but "family members". The preparation of the menu and the raw materials used are truly "fresh". Excellent food, atmosphere and throwback to the past, all this is priceless! Everyone should eat here at least once in their life to understand the true tradition.

We just returned from Rome and managed to eat twice at this, our favorite spot in town. From soup to pasta to meat courses, everything is prepared with care and simplicity. Love this place. Make a reservation if you’re going for dinner.

Tornare da Giovanni è sempre una bella esperienza, un posto autentico in mezzo alle tante trattorie per turisti che ormai spadroneggiano a trastevere che di vero hanno ben poco ...qui invece si respira la solita atmosfera uguale a tanti anni fa ,quando scoprii per caso questo locale. Cucina veramente romana ,pochi ma buoni i piatti del menu ,tutto dal sapore che sembra quello di casa ,prezzi più che giusti e soprattutto una grande cortesia del cameriere e del proprietario! Non cambiate mai!💞

10/01/2025: Local calmo com altíssimo atendimento, enfrente ao terminal de metrô, com ótimas opções muito agradável e gostoso, super indico o local... Adoramos a comida, bebida e preço justo pelo que oferece.
29/12/2024: The whole experience was amazing! We were looking for a local restaurant and stumbled upon this amazing place. The restaurant seems small from the outside but surprisingly there are many tables inside the restaurant. We chose to sit outside although we were worried there will be people constantly walking around us. Fortunately the restaurant’s location is in a calm neighborhood. We had one waitress serving us and she was the most pleasant italian lady i’ve ever met. We got soup and pasta and the food was simply wonderful (I have to admit the soup was my favorite!). I definitely recommend this place if youre looking for something simple yet delicious. I wish this restaurant the best of luck and hope to visit someday soon.

11/01/2025: Very charming restaurant, where we tried the best cacio e pepe pasta in 3 days, we ordered a bacon foccacia....incredible, the kindness and attention of the staff just gave it that touch that we are all looking for. Without a doubt on the next trip we will return
10/01/2025: A really solid place for an Italian meal. The food wasn’t amazing but it was quite nice. Service was quite good, but I took a star off because it wasn’t clear that the restaurant was open… there was a front door down some stairs but it had a “closed” look to it. Nice ambiance inside.
