A real surprise. Excellent welcome, excellent food with local products and elegant, attentive and non-intrusive courtesy. We recommend anyone visiting Cosenza to make a culinary stop in this place to find an authentic corner of Calabrian dishes. The value for money is also excellent.

Sono capitato per caso in questo locale essendo stato di passaggio a Cosenza per lavoro. Locale piccolino la cui presenza costante ed eccessivamente ravvicinata del cameriere non consente di creare quel clima conviviale. Tortino ai porcini da non prendere….. mentre i tagliolini al tartufo bianco erano sufficienti anche se troppo cari.

I had the pleasure of dining at "L'Antica Locanda dal Povero Enzo" in Cosenza, and I must say it is a little gem. The restaurant, with around thirty seats, offers an intimate and private atmosphere: to enter you need to ring a bell, and the door is opened from inside, a touch that immediately conveys attention to hospitality. One of the peculiarities is the grill with exposed embers, which creates a unique visual experience without invading the room with odors or fumes. The staff is professional and attentive to the needs of each customer, a quality that makes you feel immediately welcomed and pampered. The cuisine is excellent, with the highest quality raw materials processed to perfection. For this dinner we chose the tasting menu: appetizer, a first course chosen from two options, two second courses to share, cheeses, dessert and wine. A truly rich and complete journey at a more than honest price, especially considering the quality of the dishes. If I were to look for the classic "nitpick," the only note would be the temperature of the cut, but it is truly a small thing compared to the overall culinary experience. Definitely a restaurant worth returning to, perhaps to try the other courses on the menu, which includes also a fish proposal.

Un ristorante che mi è piaciuto! Piatti non banali, anche se leggermente "minimal" Locale piccolo e accogliente. Ottimo l'uovo e carne veramente saporita e soprattutto cotta bene. I prezzi li reputo onestissimi.

We had lunch with both the à la carte and mid-August menus, all very good! starting from the raw material, to the care in preparation and then... Since the eye also wants its part, why not!? Although we did not have a reservation they let us dine! The food was Excellent! But there were a lot of mosquitoes!
