a wonderful place, both aesthetically and practically. The staff is super welcoming and also very nice, the food is exquisite and is at an affordable and convenient price. I and some friends ate a pizza outside and we were able to enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains that surround the town. If you pass through Tramonti di sotto, do yourself a favor and stop by here!

Locale nella piazza di Tramonti di Sotto, comodo parcheggio, personale molto attento e preparato, cucina curata, ottimi tagliolini con fonduta, strudel perfetto. Un conto onestissimo, se tornerò in zona sicuramente ne terrò conto per una sosta.

It's true, the freshness and provenance of the fish are crucial, and Al Gallo seems to excel in this. However, to be truly memorable, a tasting menu must offer something more: a sensory journey that surprises and delights, perhaps through unexpected pairings, innovative techniques, or a coherent narrative between the courses. The "magic" often lies in that extra something: an original idea, an artistic presentation that elevates the dish, or simply a harmony of flavors that leaves an indelible impression. Without these elements, even the most excellent ingredients risk failing to reach their full potential in a tasting context.

Pizzeria Vecchio Caffe

06/07/2025: We were lucky to stay nearby and deciding to try the Vecchio Caffe' on a rainy evening. The pizza was a surprise, thick but airy, filling yet light. The aperitivo, based on locally distilled essences, also worth experiencing. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly reccommend if visiting the area.
06/07/2025: Pizzeria in the center of Polcenigo. We stopped last night, after booking by phone. Just behind there is a parking lot with many parking spaces. Here they also make pizza in the pan, which is tall and soft. We chose the one on the shovel which is long and crispy. Very good dough and ingredients. Very good table service, with trained staff. The price, in my humble opinion is a little above average but it's fair, especially for the dough with a lot of leavening and very digestible. For two with two pizzas on the shovel, a bottle of water, a medium beer and a coffee. We spent €39. We will definitely be back.
