⸻ I’ve never been to such a well-run hospital. I went to see Dr. Jenkinson on Monday, April 21, for a hip evaluation. After our discussion, he told me surgery would likely happen in 3–6 months—but that someone would follow up with me the next day. Sure enough, his office called and let me know there was a cancellation for Thursday. Today is Friday, and I’m already on my way home—feeling pretty good. I want to thank Donna, Dr. Martin Van der Vyyer, and the entire anesthesia team. Also a big thanks to Michelle, Pang, Vivia, the occupational therapist (she was lovely and only 37!), and the physiotherapist. Everyone was kind, professional, and truly made my stay easier. Amazing experience. I would highly recommend them and Dr. Jenkinson

I went to the dermatology clinic here and Dr. Sandre & Nurse Hansol are very friendly and professional. I appreciate their kindness and good communication. I also really like the interior design and architecture of this hospital, incorporating nature elements helps with feeling more at ease.

My wife had a day surgery on April 15th. She appreciated the good communication with the surgical team. My comment is to add our thanks and appreciation for care and comfort extended by nurse Nicki , in M601 recovery wing. She was always attentive to my wife's needs and performed her routine, with calm and efficiency. Many thanks to Nicki and recovery team!

I attended the Ambulatory Clinic in the infectious diseases department for some pre surgical assessment. The reception staff were exemplary, being polite, helpful, and pleasant. When met my doctor he was professional, efficient and reassuring. Apart from the perennial parking costs everything went very well.

The DRs and RNs are lovely. I’ve been an in-patient, an outpatient and done several treatments there. I’m now in palliative care. When I asked the chief of the ward to speak to me for 5 mins (in the fall) about my final treatment plan - he said yes. He left me hanging for 4 months but my care team tried to reassure me. After his campaign, he got back to me in the spring, speaking only of legislation- on a matter we disagree on- but that had nothing to do with my questions and concerns. I explicitly said I didn’t want to talk about it. I asked this man to help me live. I offered the leadership team our email exchange, they refused to see it, and they too spoke only of how “the chief was under no obligation to speak to me” and that they “supported free speech for their doctors.”?? If I wasn’t at the end of my life I would follow-up. But I am, and I can’t. I was asking for my life- to the man who oversees so many people who treat me there. My health has declined significantly since “patient experience” wouldn’t even have a phone conversation with me. At least I have the emails. 3* for the all of the actual staff who respect and live by the oath they swore to. They are wonderful. Just be careful: you better not need to see anyone in a leadership position. Apparently “patient experience” doesn’t matter or count if the patient will be dead soon, anyway.

I recently had a foot fracture. I walked into the Emergency wing and I have to say, I have had the best experience starting here, everyone has been so polite, kind and caring. Everyone has been hands down extremely professional, caring and just welcoming. I was in and out the emergency room within 3.5 hours. I got an appointment at the Facture Clinic the very next day and I was scheduled for surgery a week after. On my surgery day, everything went so smooth and I was into the op room right on time. The whole team made me feel at ease, calm and they were just awesomely caring! My surgeon, Doctor Stephen is great, a man of few words but he is straight up and tells you exactly what you need to hear, dos and don’ts! Simple and to the point! I believe that when you treat people with respect, you will be treated back the same way, this was my experience at Sunnybrook and I think this help me with getting the help I needed quickly, don’t be demanding, the professionals know the gravity of your injury and they will see you accordingly, yelling and screaming won’t get you help quicker! Sunnybrook is going into my donation list this year, I am extremely happy with my experience!

I am not a fan of doctor's etc. However mammograms shouldn't be painful, nor should your breasts be bruised and painful. Further they dhould allow you to see/hear your results.

I feel so fortunate to have been treated at Sunnybrook Hospital, specifically The Odette Cancer Clinic. I was treated with such kindness, compassion and professionalism. My surgeons, specialists and anaesthetist took such incredible care of me, the covert best there is. 🙏🏻 thank you

20/04/2025: Il posto era pulito e ben organizzato. Siamo stati settimana scorsa e Abbiamo mangiato i panini che erano buonissimi perché il pane fanno loro. Fanno anche le pizze….. Consiglio vivamente se passate da Casazza. Pagamento con bancomat/contante
