Amici's pizzeria In Praia a mare

A chance discovery in Praia. The owner welcomed us down from our bikes and invited us in. Despite being on the main street (very quiet in the evening), the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Giuseppe "Bondi Jo" and his lovely wife Carmela treated us to delicious food. Carmela's homemade pasta with tender calamari and delicious sauce is a must-have. A bottle of cool Cirò, and the evening is just what we were looking for. We'll definitely be back.

Small but perfectly formed! Exactly what you'd expect from a typical Italian restaurant! Not for mass tourism! Very friendly, welcoming, and hard-working owners! Simply delicious 😋😋😋

Right on the street can be a bit off-putting. That would be a mistake here. I was able to peek into the kitchen to see how the dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients. The pizza (Neapolitan) is wonderfully crispy, made with the finest ingredients. Don't be put off by the small menu! The chef will make anything you want, and the pasta is homemade.

The photo shows the quality: we were too enraptured while eating to even consider the full plates. Delicious pizza with a wide selection of classics and creative combinations (the Orlando is especially recommended), and the squid pasta, made by reservation, is mind-blowing! Giuseppe and Carmela are kind and friendly, and the prices are more than fair.

Siamo ritornati con piacere dopo quasi tre anni di assenza e anche questa volta abbiamo mangiato una pizza davvero squisita. I proprietari sono persone molto gentili. Ci torneremo ancora.

I recommend this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and the food is very good. We ate the best gnocchi in the region!

The house specialties are pizzas and calzones. You can also have them made to order, tailored to your taste... the staff is very kind, helpful, and welcoming!

Pleasant service, good food, solid prices, it's open even during the afternoon break. Great, I have nothing to complain about.
