The granitas are unbeatable, but the service could be much improved, as could the arrangement of the tables and especially the chairs.

Great place! An oasis in the desert!! Very welcoming and reasonably priced!

Excellent bar with reasonable prices (compared to Tropea, where they'll ruin your experience! And it's not worth it!) We went with friends (10 people) and paid €45! I really recommend the artisanal granita! And the brioche is wonderful! Excellent crepes! The truffles are second to none at Calliopo in Pizzo Calabro 🔝

The hazelnut is excellent! The coconut is amazing 🌴 very welcoming atmosphere… compliments to the staff too!!

Newspaper, coffee, almond milk, and friendly people. Under the pine trees. A light, cool breeze. What more could you want? In the evening, crepes and pinsas. And voilà!

They should improve in all aspects

We heard about the American Bar through word of mouth from other hotel guests. And in our opinion, it's a real insider tip: delicious Aperol Spritz and more, plus pizza slices, olives, chips, and savory snacks. All for the unbeatable price of €5 per Aperol. We were there in May 2025. It's crazy, at our hotel, an Aperol without anything else cost €8. The location is fine, and with a bit of luck/the right table, you have a view of the sea. They also serve ice cream and coffee, and even pizza, all at a reasonable price. The service was friendly and attentive. Not only holidaymakers but also locals were there, which is always a good sign. We highly recommend the American Bar and would gladly return.
