Amaranto In Ravenna

Very good and unique vegan food! A great option for Ravenna, and reasonably priced! The only flaw was the service. I don't know if we were unlucky, but we weren't paid much attention. The waiters were very serious and didn't smile much. They had a really nice section of feminist books inside, which raised funds. What a great initiative!

Finally, some real cuisine in Ravenna (I mean in this moderate price range). Carefully prepared, flavorful, and original dishes that are a welcome change from the usual escalopes, rabbit, or beef steaks, or the famous Italian pasta (vegetarian or not, you won't be disappointed). Plus, the setting is very pleasant (both inside and out) and the staff is efficient and friendly.

Great place, great food, well thought out, and tastes out of this world. Home made all the way down to the mayonnaise, fantastic….They have thought about eating with the eyes first, the presentation is exceptional - vegan or not it’s worth the trip and is in the old town so easy to find. Wish I had another day I would likely eat here most days until I had exhausted the menu at least 5 times over. These guys do innovate so it’s easy to find something new as well - never a dull menus ever and sympathetic homage to its local heritage. Don’t stop doing what you do Amaranto :) Ottimo posto, vegano o no, vale la pena farci un salto ed è nel centro storico, quindi è facile da trovare. Vorrei avere un altro giorno, probabilmente mangerei qui per giorni, finché non avessi esaurito il menu.

Amaranto has become a favorite place for me. We return every summer, at least once during our vacation. This year they introduced vegan cured meats and cheese platters, and I must admit that the cheeses alone are worth the trip. The service is attentive and always friendly. The quality of the products is excellent. There may be some dishes that are less to my taste than others, but that happens everywhere.

When looking for a restaurant with vegan options, Amaranto was a great choice. We found the food to be somewhere between excellent and a bit bland, and the prices were still reasonable. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and since we were also celebrating a birthday, we'll definitely remember the visit very fondly. We definitely recommend Amaranto! We would expect the restaurant to serve slightly larger portions and delve deeper into the spice box.

I had the cappelletti with porcini, asparagus tart, and mattonella. All of it was fantastic!

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very calm and comfortable, the service is wonderful, I highly recommend it, congratulations to you all 🙌🏻❤️

A truly lovely place. I returned for an anniversary dinner after discovering it years ago, and it didn't disappoint at all. We ordered two appetizers, a first course, a second course, and two side dishes, accompanied by two glasses of wine. Everything was served with courtesy and attention, and every dish was delicious and flavorful. The only flaw was the slightly slow but very attentive service. Unfortunately, there wasn't room for dessert because the portions were more than adequate—a great reason to return!

We have had very good experiences in the past here but this time not so much. We usually sit outside which is nice but as it was raining we sat inside. Air con not working well, too hot, slightly musty smell, seating not very comfortable, tired interior. Annoying music. Starter was very good, we enjoyed tasting various vegan cheeses and 'salumi'. Bread and bit hard/tasteless. Primi were a disappointment unfortunately: my daughter's lasagne was a tasteless and dry (it's usually excellent), my husband's porcini pasta lacked salt and taste, my 'sea asparagus' pasta was average, not really tasty. Secondi: melanzane alla parmigiana was excellent, potatoes good too. Peperonata was horrible though, sweet and vinegary, we didn't enjoy it at all. Dead fly in my wine glass and we left without dessert this time. Not the evening we usually enjoy here. Service very good though (except for being charged anyway for the wine which I think might have been an oversight.)
