Amaranto In Ravenna

I think the reviews are largely overly optimistic, so much so that I doubt their veracity. It's impossible that so many people don't notice that: - Terrible food. Acceptable for a novice friend who invites me to dinner, but definitely not in a restaurant. - Lots of pre-cooked frozen foods, far too many. Defrosted in the microwave just before serving. I'm no expert, but I think only a lab can do this, not a restaurant kitchen. For example: the homemade empanadas, frozen and badly defrosted just before serving. - No attention to plating. We're in a high-priced restaurant, not a Caritas soup kitchen. - Overall, a modest environment, which many are content with by extolling, because eating vegan in Ravenna is difficult. Three stars instead of one because they're 100% vegan. But that's not how restaurants are done. I hope they improve a lot; it would be wonderful.

The menu is completely vegan: I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try a different cuisine, without prejudice! The dishes are well-prepared, truly delicious, and prove that vegan options exist—you just need to know how to cook them 😋. The place is delightful, as is the staff. A must-see in Ravenna (which has so many vegan options, congratulations!!!!)

Fried porcini mushrooms are out of this world!

The plant-based dishes are delicious, reminiscent of Italian tradition, and the staff is very friendly.

I had the pleasure of dining at Amaranto restaurant for their Christmas menu, and the experience was truly excellent. I chose the full tasting menu and was impressed by the quality and care with which each course was served. Everything was well-balanced and reasonably priced. The dessert, in particular, won me over: light, tasty, and the perfect way to end a festive lunch without weighing you down. Kudos to the staff for their attentiveness and professionalism.

A place that's neither good nor bad, good service, decent food, but decidedly high prices. Poor value for money.

Very good and unique vegan food! A great option for Ravenna, and reasonably priced! The only flaw was the service. I don't know if we were unlucky, but we weren't paid much attention. The waiters were very serious and didn't smile much. They had a really nice section of feminist books inside, which raised funds. What a great initiative!

Finally, some real cuisine in Ravenna (I mean in this moderate price range). Carefully prepared, flavorful, and original dishes that are a welcome change from the usual escalopes, rabbit, or beef steaks, or the famous Italian pasta (vegetarian or not, you won't be disappointed). Plus, the setting is very pleasant (both inside and out) and the staff is efficient and friendly.
