A real Roman tavern, run by father and son, very friendly even if in a romantic style
The food is excellent we ate to bursting point also because if there is anything left the host Massimo complains, appetizers panzanella grass peas beans with pork rinds delicious, meatballs with sauce good for those who like mint
Good carbonara and cacio e pepe
Final with fantastic porchetta
Ask for communion and if you can get there also extreme unction as the innkeeper calls it
A tavern worth visiting if you are in the area

Eating in this tavern is like feeling at home like you used to. Menu as per the Roman tradition, hot appetizers served in earthenware bowls as in the past. The carbonara is fabulous, fluid with crispy bacon. Excellent lamb to finish Massimo brings you communion, that's what he calls it, not to be missed. I will definitely come back.

I insert a more modest evaluation for the environment, only because the cult of Renaissance masterpiece-model plating reigns supreme, our innkeeper goes like Er Barcarolo of the famous song and the famous city... Against the grain;-))
A totally informal environment that dispenses quality products with a simple and pleasant conversational form...
Not recommended for neo-Platonists and lovers of the :Yes Chef!!!
In short, if you're paranoid, it's not for you...
If you want to eat well instead...

The carbonara and the dream tripe are wonderful. Kindness and sensitivity on the part of the owners. I recommend it to anyone who likes real regional cuisine. The culinary diversity of our regions remains a flagship of our Italy. No one can take those away from us.
