I visited this restaurant for the first time during the traditional transhumance on October 26, 2025, and I had a VERY WELL lunch.
A small disappointment is that a waitress (whose name I don't know) acted rudely toward me over something trivial. I wanted to clarify this immediately, but she responded with superficiality and arrogance. I understand the nerves caused by the busy day, given that the restaurant was packed for the event. I'm a drop in the ocean, but customers should be treated with some respect and courtesy, given that they are a source of income...

Excellent location for those who want to try trekking and hiking.
The staff is very friendly and helpful despite the low season, dogs are welcome, and the rooms are clean.
The cuisine they offer is unique: varied, plentiful, and delicious.

San Lorenzo, listed on Google only as a hotel, is actually also an excellent restaurant that's definitely worth a visit. The cuisine was a real surprise: the fried gnocchi were excellent, as were the generously served cured meats. Also worth trying are the typical and delicious pisarei e faso (a pasta dish with beans), the Santo Stefano melted cheese (a unique delight!), and, to finish, the desserts, also top-notch.
A place where tradition meets quality, highly recommended both for a stay and for an unforgettable lunch or dinner.

The restaurant of the San Lorenzo hotel, family-run, not bad and equipped with a large room. Good selection of meat and mushroom dishes and average prices, friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel/restaurant is located on the road that leads from the center of Santo Stefano d'Aveto to Rocca, more or less halfway.
Informal and quiet atmosphere, perfectly suited to the town.

Obviously the evaluation was given in the context of the category to which the hotel belongs. We stayed on the occasion of a MTB race over the weekend on the trails of Santo Stefano d'Avento in half board. Room with a welcoming bathroom. Abundant breakfast especially the savory to order (you order what you eat without avoiding waste). Dinner with generous portions and good quality. The hotel gave us the possibility of washing the bike and for the night we had the possibility of storage in their garage with the possibility of charging for e-bikes. But the real surprise was the possibility of being able to take a shower after the race in the afternoon of the day of check out in your room.. top service and availability.
