leggi le recension positive poi vedi la vetrata dall'esterno un po' vintage, ci siamo un po' .....preoccupati. Invece innanzitutto la cordialità del personale, poi una serie di piatti giganti ripieni di prodotti locali buonissimi e poi un gelato per dessert fatto da loro. Veramente bravi! Salumi di alto livello, carni ben cotte.

18/08/2024: Sorci Castle: “glam” location in the Anghiara countryside With over a thousand years of history, Sorci Castle is a splendid location in the Anghiari countryside that mixes tradition and innovation. The Locanda, born from the happy intuition of Primetto Barelli, offers typical dishes of local cuisine such as typical appetizers, fettuccine with ragù, bringoli with roasted fake sauce and dessert with vin santo, all brought to the table with great abundance and simplicity of service. The Castle is a place of the heart, ideal for the reception of a wedding or an event. A dive into the Middle Ages with the comforts of today! I have known the Barelli family for years and I could not have done without the Locanda for my wedding reception. An entire castle at your disposal doesn't happen every day! Built around 1000, the Sorci Castle was a place of contention and resistance during the Late Middle Ages and the period of the Lordships; destroyed and rebuilt several times, it became the home of the famous Captain of Fortune Baldaccio d'Anghiari, who perhaps aspired to spend his last years of life there in peace and, instead, was barbarously killed in an ambush. Hero of his time, man of arms capable of ruthless acts but also of proof of great generosity, the valiant captain is at the center of the novel "Baldaccio d'Anghiari, most excellent man of arms", a historical essay with a journalistic approach from reportage, in which the author Carlo Brizzi masterfully leads the reader into the world of captains of fortune. A novel that was presented precisely in Sorci about twenty years ago, by virtue of the friendship and esteem between the author and the lord of the Castle, Primetto Barelli. Thanks to his marketing skills, Primetto had transformed his love for history and the Castle into a propaganda reason for his offer. Thus the dinner with the ghost was born, on the occasion of the anniversary of Baldaccio's killing, waiting at the table for the possible arrival of the ghost with his head, which had been severed, under his arm. Primetto's baton has been successfully taken up by his three sons who today carry on his "mission" with passion and enthusiasm.
13/08/2024: The historic restaurant is located in one of the service rooms of the Sorci castle: the place is very beautiful. The food was decent with positive highlights for grilled meat and enough for pasta with cheese and pepper. Very friendly staff, fast service

09/11/2023: Great place. Vey typical of Tuscany. Nice decoration great staff. Food was very good, and the wine list is phenomenal. The location of this place is so great you will want to buy it.
08/10/2023: Abbiamo cenato in questo posto suggestivo sabato 7 ottobre. Siamo arrivati molto in anticipo rispetto l'orario di apertura e così ho potuto parlare con Fabio che con parole facili mi ha spiegato le differenze tra i vari tagli della carne. Un viaggio alla scoperta della sua passione e del suo team. A tavola abbiamo mangiato una fiorentina di quasi 2,5 kg accompagnata da una porzione di fagioli. Prima della carne abbiamo chiesto un porzione di crostini toscani deliziosi. La fiorentina era perfetta nella cottura e molto morbida Al termine ho voluto pure assaggiare i pici all'aglione e Fabio mi ha anche spiegato come preparare il sugo mentre gli altri commensali hanno condiviso il dolce al pistacchio anch'esso molto buono. Abbiamo mangiato tanto e bene spendendo il giusto, trascorso una piacevolissima serata in un locale molto curato ma soprattutto abbiamo conosciuto delle belle persone. Grazie.
