It's been several years (about 40) since I returned to this classic and historic restaurant in the center of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, on the main square. I had fond memories of lunches with Piedmontese menus, and today I noticed that the menu always features typical Piedmontese dishes, meticulously presented: a traditional veal in tuna sauce, an exceptional stewed tripe, which I hadn't eaten in years, and then the Finanziera, which I adore and which is no longer found in restaurants. And to finish, a classic Piedmontese dessert, the traditional freshly made Bunet. EXCEPTIONAL!! The wine by the glass from Cascina Gilli was also very good. The staff was very kind and professional. Overall, an EXCELLENT PIEDMONT restaurant with a truly excellent quality/price ratio. I highly recommend it, and will definitely return.

We had a game-based lunch. Fixed menu for €39, including drinks. Three courses: excellent appetizers, a delicious first course with a well-cooked ragu, and a second course of polenta and braised venison. Truly well-presented and delicious. The restaurant has a retro feel, but it was intentionally kept that way. Clean and with well-spaced tables. It's also a small hotel, reminiscent of an old inn.

We came to Castelnuovo with my friends to tour this little village. To relax, we sat outside at the Ciocca bar. We were welcomed by Giovanna, a wonderful and super helpful lady. We finally found a real cappuccino, made by her, with the perfect foam! She was super attentive to all our requests with a beautiful smile! We'll definitely be back! Thank you Giovanna 😘😘
