Albergo Il Picchio In Pescasseroli

From my experience and being a 4 star hotel in reference to room 215 in which I stayed at the end of August there is a lack of air conditioning, a fan for the blind bathroom connected to the bathroom light itself which was extremely noisy due to a squeaking noise from the off-axis assembly I assume is a little haphazard which can be annoying in a small environment. Naturally, being in the mountains, there are excellent double-glazed windows and external chairs but you notice the lack of a mosquito net between them with a roller curtain, which could make the difference for any flying insects or anything else which, being in the mountains, is naturally not surprising but if you want to enjoy fresh air to ventilate the room... ?!!? The furniture is a little dated but still there is everything you need.

We stayed at Picchio for the second consecutive year. Very beautiful and well-kept place, especially outside with large parks and lots of greenery. Super friendly and efficient staff in meeting all customer needs. The food was also excellent and plentiful. It just needs a good modernization especially with regards to the bathrooms and the daily cleaning of the rooms which is not exactly impeccable and, if I were the manager, I would avoid setting the breakfast table with blue paper napkins and plastic teaspoons, which are not exactly in line with a 4 stars. For the rest, it was wonderful and I would happily go back.

I found myself here by chance. I used the restaurant. I felt good. Tasty food served with kindness...

Excellent lunch and beautiful garden!

The hotel could be improved, there is no air conditioning, and the bathrooms need to be renovated a bit, the rooms are clean, the service at the tables and the kitchen could be improved, little variety, excellent breakfast, beautiful garden. The entertainment activities of Anna and Vincenzo are friendly and entertaining, good at their job .

I recently had the pleasure of staying for a week, together with my husband, my cousin Fiorella and her husband Mauro at the il Picchio hotel.. We can say that we are extremely satisfied. The property is located in a quiet location, which offers a sense of peace and well-being. The staff were courteous, helpful and attentive to our every need. Special praise goes to the manager, who made our stay truly memorable. Extremely positive opinion also on the cuisine. The breakfast buffet was particularly appreciated, with a vast range of sweet and savory options, which allows you to accommodate all types of eating styles.

Hotel located a stone's throw from Pescasseroli. The outside of the hotel is very spacious as well as well-kept with sunbeds, gazebos etc. We were given a much larger room than expected and with lots of space for clothes. We also had dinner on two evenings and the food was excellent regardless of the course chosen. Furthermore, a very useful entertainment service is provided for couples with children. The owner and his staff are very kind. Prices normal.

Dated but well maintained building. Excellent service and special attention to the Director, a true professional.
