If you haven't been to Sicily, including Syracuse, and haven't gone to this place for a really good meal, then you're missing out on the love of a married couple and their excellent cuisine, which unfortunately won't let you get to know the flavors of Syracuse.

Very authentic osteria, a hundred miles from the tourist traps of Syracuse and Ortigia. Delicious cuisine (absolutely divine Caponata, octopus etc...). We had a great time and were touched by the kindness of the restaurateurs.

We were first to arrive for dinner. They quickly took our orders and brought our drinks and a bread basket. The food order was ready in ~15 minutes. The dishes weren't as flavourful as we expected, but they were still good. The house wine (white) was delicious. It was a bit difficult to pay our bill as they got really busy later in the evening.

Well, what can I say. My sister and I were craving a seafood pasta and had pored over reviews and pictures of Syracuse and Ortigia restaurants in search of the definitive best on the island. We were certain based upon the reviews and photos we saw of a very generously heaped plate that we would be sure to find what we were hunting for.
We arrived shortly before our booking and were promptly seated. Unfortunately I must say that from this point onwards, we were left high and dry, much like the miserable bread basket that we received on request.
We informed the waiter that we had eaten 2.5 hours prior but were eager to taste the much coveted spaghetti seafood dish. This is where his temperament changed entirely and he appeared severely offended that we would not be ordering one dish each. I might add we also ordered a bottle of wine as well, so it was not as if we were wasting his time.
The pasta dish itself was very impressive, lots of seafood and the best we’ve had in Sicily since arriving. The measly offering of bread was a bit of a let down as the sauce in the pasta was unreal and needed some bread to properly appreciate it.

While looking at the various restaurants to eat on Google, I came across a photo of ricotta ravioli with squid ink which won me over even though unfortunately the photo doesn't do it much justice. The environment is very welcoming and well-kept. Excellent food 👌🏻 I will definitely be back

Se vuoi mangiare bene e tipico a Udine devi per forza passare da questo locale. All’interno respiri tanta storia. I piatti sono tipici della cucina friulana poco elaborati ma molto buoni. Il personale disponibile servizio non velocissimo ma il locale è sempre affollato e ci sta. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato per mangiare bene e spendere poco.
