A place with a simple but still welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers traditional dishes, well executed even if without any particular flair. Courteous service and normal waiting times. The only flaw is the acoustics: the echo of voices makes the environment rather noisy, especially if you find rowdy neighbors. Overall a good experience, ideal for those looking for classic cuisine without too many pretensions.

Had lunch at midday with a fixed price menu, adequate for the quality of the dishes offered. Very fast service, very large restaurant with several rooms, they have a lot of seats

Excellent dishes, fast and precise service. Fair prices for the quality and quantity of the dishes. A small note, when serving wine they shouldn't ask if you want a glass but they should bring it by default. For the rest, nothing to complain about, beautiful location with lake view (there is a road between the restaurant and the lake but once seated you can only see the lake), spacious, friendly and attentive waiters. The pizza leaves a little to be desired (but it depends on taste, I like the "Neapolitan" one with a high and soft crust, here the crust is rather low and crunchy). However, the place is recommended

Ristorante La Veranda dei Pescatori

31/05/2025: Located above Varenna, in a quiet area, the place is chic and magnificent (like the view). All the staff are friendly and helpful (the waiter brought little animal toys to keep our children entertained). Very good food, with lots of fish on the menu.
