The food is okeyish but the service staff either had a bad day or just doesnt like people who dont speak Italian. Overall not a bad restaurant but would neither return nor recommend.

Great Italian food... We had two takeaways from the restaurant, and they were amazingly packed. The customer service when we arrived was excellent.

There are lunches that fill you up and lunches that stay in your heart. Today's lunch at Vecchio Frantoio in San Michele Salentino definitely falls into both categories. It was one of those perfect family lunches, and much of the credit goes to Andrea and his family. Their hospitality is something special: they make you feel like a welcome guest, not just a customer. A sincere kindness that makes all the difference in the world. Our culinary journey began with a raw seafood dish whose freshness was simply undeniable. Pure seafood flavor. Then, the first courses: fresh pasta here is an art. We ordered the maltagliati with seafood and the ravioli with buffalo mozzarella. Beyond the sauce, it was the quality of the pasta that spoke volumes: flavorful and cooked to perfection. You can immediately tell when it's the work of someone who knows their craft with passion. To finish, an excellent mixed fry: golden, crispy, and light. This too, got top marks. The wine selection also allows you to perfectly complement each dish. It's rare to find a place that so successfully combines quality ingredients, impeccable cuisine, and such genuine warmth. It was a fantastic experience. I can't recommend it highly enough, and we'll definitely be back.

The food is traditional and very delicious, excellent staff and great prices

Great place, lots on the menu, and everything is pretty good, but of course, there are always foodies with out-of-this-world tastes who want everything different. I'll be back often, even if it's just for takeaway pizza!

A wonderful culinary experience, typical of the Apulian tradition. Excellent products, all family-run. Highly recommended.
