It's already the second year that we spend New Year's Eve there. We had a good time again this year, everything was good and the service was impeccable.

Ritorniamo sempre con grande piacere e soddisfazione del gusto in questo eccellente ristorante. Ha una sala per ricevimenti e una sala antica, che preferiamo. Cibo preparato con arte e sapienza ( i menu degustazione li lasciamo agli altri). Eccellenti le paste i risotti e le carni. Sono molto attenti ai prodotti freschi secondo la stagione. E presentano un menu quasi tutto con l’alternativa anche per CELIACI. Cestino riservato di pane gluten free compreso. Non abbiamo ancora incontrato nel mondo un ristorante con un assortimento di cibi così ampio per intolleranti. Superbo.

Business lunch with colleagues... What a pleasant surprise. The menu offers very interesting unique dishes (land, sea and vegetarian) at a fair price. I tasted the single seafood dish.... I would have. I just preferred a stronger flavor to the orecchiette. In any case recommended.

From a restaurant of this level one would expect a little more. A amouse-bouche would have been much appreciated.
Superior quality raw materials, which make each dish a real experience; more generous portions would not be out of place at all given what was requested.
Wine list a little narrow compared to the target the restaurant wants to reach; prices on average with places of the same level.
Attentive and punctual service, never intrusive.
The environment is a bit cold, impersonal, no, it would be excessive and disrespectful for the owner, but certainly in some moments you have the impression of being an 'extra'.

We had company for dinner, I can't say I ate badly but they are not gourmet dishes. Good but not exceptional for the cost. I definitely won't go back there again, I much prefer Barzetti to Malnate or Venanzio

Always a pleasure to return to this restaurant ❤️.
Very good Tuscan cuisine, even gluten and lactose free, from the pasta made by them to the dessert...
What can I say, it's my favorite restaurant ❤️ and I highly recommend it!!!

Enchanting location, very elegant and with attention to detail, impeccable and fast service in serving the dishes.
Excellent quality of food and preparation of the various dishes.
I highly recommend it especially for a dinner for two, you will certainly make a good impression.

Quale miglior regalo potevo ricevere per il mio compleanno? Un percorso enogastronomico tipicamente toscano al mitico “AL VECCHIO CONVENTO” di Varese, peraltro già il nostro ristorante preferito!
Serata speciale che ad ogni portata offriva un calice di vino diverso, tutti di alto gradimento e in un ambiente unico per il suo genere!
Personale tutto altamente professionale e sempre con il sorriso sulla bocca e Luca e Stefano persone preparate e disponibili.
Consigliato per ogni circostanza, meno per chi ha voglia di fare baccano in compagnia.
