Good morning last night, convinced by the excellent reviews, I decided to go to this place with my wife and son. I honestly don't understand all the enthusiasm among so many users. Nice and average retro place. Large sandwiches with good value for money but average. Average choice of drinks and food. Average service. Therefore I give it a full 6. Maybe even 6.5 due to the quantity, but nothing more. I was undecided on what to have (despite the lack of variety and this is told by someone who generally loves boscaiola or the devil) and I opted for the classic boscaiola (if done well it remains one of the top sandwiches), my wife boscaiola with sauce tartufata and my son the mountain man (burger, cheese, becon, onion and barbecue sauce). Let's start from the fact that the sandwiches without hamburgers are really large and stuffed. But the mushrooms were practically boiled. They had to stay on the plate for a while longer. Cheese and cooked meat without infamy and without praise. We don't have bread, however. Too much and dry. Maybe it was from the day before, but we're not really there. The hamburger sandwich is even worse because there's no point in putting a sandwich with a diameter of In the end I spent a pleasant hour with my family in the nice garden, but it all ended like this. I hope that the owners are not offended and that they take inspiration from my words. Bread is essential!!!! And not only the quality but also the proportion. The choice of sandwiches shouldn't be excessive either, but you have to include one or two slightly more particular sandwiches, unless the ones you offer are really well made. I repeat, for me a well-made simple or lumberjack is timeless. But they must be proportionate and with tasty ingredients. For example, I understand that I can't have cheddar at that price, but then you leave the cheese on the griddle so that it has a bit of a crust, so at least it has a bit of flavour. Spend 15 euros more per kg on cooked ham and get a good ham crust (the ones in the packets that you put directly in the oven).

Good and well stuffed hamburger sandwich. Good draft beers of various types. The only flaw is that the stairs are not well lit. The kind owner found us two seats despite having many reservations.

Top sandwich shop! One of the few remaining top level in Trieste. Huge sandwiches, prices lower than average. The menu is also more varied than in the past. Fantastic cheese, super bread and wow chips. It's just a shame that they don't do takeaway due to lack of staff.
