Al Teston In Pordenone

All the dishes were excellent (starters, first and second courses) and I was enchanted by the pumpkin flan.

Excellent Friulian cuisine. Careful and genuine, light and tasty. Very friendly staff. Possibility to eat inside and outside. Characteristic and clean environment. The first courses are excellent, such as the pumpkin ravioli and the San Daniele gnocchi, and the desserts, such as the summer version of the creme brulee, pleasantly fresh, and the almond cake with toffee icing and cream.

Siamo entrati per il pranzo senza prenotazione. Ci hanno apparecchiato un tavolo molto gentilmente anche se il ristorante era pieno. Tutto buono, porzioni non abbondanti. Per me un po’ troppo caro.

Delicious food Very friendly Cleaned the plate

The restaurant is inconspicuously located away from the lively main street in a narrow side street. The boss welcomed us very friendly. The menu is short, but there are local delicacies to suit every taste. From bean soup to goulash and gnocchi to my Friulian favorite: Frico with polenta. A wonderful dish that makes the heart of a physically hard-working woodcutter, which I am not, beat faster. Wonderfully tasty cheese with potatoes (comparable to a Frigga in Carinthia, only without bacon) with creamy, spicy polenta. The fantastic light house wine accompanied the meal excellently. The prices are quite reasonable. In any case, we will visit this beautiful little town again and on this occasion also the Al teston.

Happened by chance, during one of the crowded days of PordenoneLegge, the osteria al Teston is in the city center but in a slightly more secluded position, and therefore quieter. Excellent welcome, as well as the service and the food, we experienced the pleasant sensation of being pampered - that there was a real desire to make the guests feel good. Very recommended.
