Al Rustico In Castione della presolana

I happened to dine at this restaurant one weeknight, but several aspects of the experience didn't convince me. The place is small, with a relatively small indoor dining room and an outdoor space. We ate inside, and the tables are so close together that it's sometimes difficult to get up without bumping into other customers. Despite the limited number of tables, we waited 30 minutes for service, with no explanation. As for the food, especially my pizza, the quality wasn't the best: the chips on the pizza were dry and tasted like they'd been fried hours earlier, if not the day before, and then reheated. It's a shame, because the waitresses were very kind and helpful. Another plus is the wide selection of pizzas on the menu.

If you continue like this, you'll lose all the key points. Eating one of the absolute best pizzas (flat Roman pizza) in the Seriana Valley, where I'd have to give these same ratings to local dishes like polenta or casoncelli, risks altering your mental balance. All washed down with an exceptional draft beer. All topped off with service characterized by the quiet and discreet efficiency typical of Bergamo.

La pizza e’ ottima alla pari del servizio. Ma la birra! Hanno un’ottima birra belga alla spina (per chi non lo sapesse il belgio sta alla birra come l’Italia sta al vino) che è impossibile trovare nelle pizzerie (di solito c’è qualche birretta insignificante). Bravi!

Really very good pizza, very welcoming and warm environment. We went by chance and had a great time. I took the stuffed calzone even though I was no longer hungry, I only managed to finish it because it was delicious. I RECOMMEND!!!… the very kind staff.
